They can easily get more. But I do know there are other renditions that will probably be used in the future so the Hokie Stone theme will continue, just don't know if it will look the same way. Posted a picture in another forum that was more of a white colored Hokie Stone. Looked pretty cool up close.

I love how we auction all of our special helmets off. I may be wrong when I say this, but we are probably one of the most philanthropic teams in the nation when it comes to this.
I also wonder how much of the proceeds they donate and how much stays with our program?

I was interviewing Virginia Techs equipment manager for an upcoming ESPN column and he mentioned to me that theyd be wearing the Hokie Stone helmet one more time this season. No firm date, though.
I have to say that I'm slightly amused seeing the difference in a lot of people from prior to the game and now after the game with those helmets.
I say that if they correct a couple things with them, they should stay in our future lineup for years to come. It would be even better if the team were allowed to put different color helmets for different sets of people. Could you imagine having "normal helmets" for most players, but having something like the defensive line become "The Hokie Stone Wall"?

Furman was both my first ever game in Lane (No I don't have the family history a lot of y'all do so don't make fun of me). Back then I didn't pay as close attention to the jerseys as I do today, so I completely forgot we wore those throwbacks. Man those are awesome

I think we have seen that they want to stick with a more traditional look...I think we have worn our classic VT helmets more than we did the entire last season.
I would say Maroon brain bucket, maroon jersey and I wouldn't mind seeing the orange pants, but I think they will go for grey or white.

I miss the days where we didn't have to guess which uni we were going to wear. Away games where white and home games were maroon on maroon w maroon helmets. Maroon and orange are our colors. Nobody else has them, I think we have gotten away from that with all these dag on uniform changes. I love mixing and matching unis but I think we need to go more traditional w them. Could you imagine all maroon Nike pro combats? ESP the 2003 unis? Bring those back!

This is one thing I don't understand. Why won't VT pay nike for some nice pro combat custom uni's. You get a maroon, white and orange jersey with corresponding pants and then you mix and match. What's up with all this cheap stuff that you can go online and design?

they were cool for a one time thing, but for a mainstay uniform, like our LSU stripes..I would really like to see us in nice uniforms. As much as recruits love Nike Pro Combat, how do we not have it?

nike procombat features (usually) custom designs that can't be recreated and the biggest difference is the fly wire collar. All of VT's uni's, including the one we wore against alabama, are able to be created on nike's web site--I have done it before. I think what we have is nice, and I like the classic look--but look at UNC's uni's...those are pro-combat and they look it. Ours are the next best thing

I know not many here are a fan of the orange jersey, I'm not really myself, but I think the inverse of this (maroon pants with orange jersey, keep the maroon helmet) would look really sweet. The orange jersey wouldn't look as bad with maroon pants instead of white.

Just don't dig those orange pants anytime (or orange helmets ever). Reminds me too much of Syracuse. Orange trim is cool though. White pants with stripes is sleek and fast. All maroon is mean the way our football team wants to project it.

I just don't like the white pants that we currently wear. Put a strip or something on them...otherwise they look like ballet tights.
