BITCH PLEASE, PART II. THE EPILOGUE.

Virginia Tech Hokies football, basketball, athletics blog and forum featuring: unique columns, breaking news, film studies, in-depth analysis, recruiting, videos and jokes.

This afternoon we dominated Virginia in every meaningful statistic, from turnovers to the final score, but I'm going to spare you the details. They're not necessary. When you look at a beautiful painting, swag-ass new piece of tech or a hot co-ed you don't care about what kind of paint the artist used, the type of metal in your hand, even though it feels silky smooth, or what her parents look like. When you see greatness, you appreciate it for what it is.

Look at them all leave, via VTBox who is once again doing the Lord's work.

Virginia is a good football team. They won eight games, including a couple against respectable opponents. That's why all of us --the team, fans, your humble writers-- poured our souls into this week. We embarrassed UVa today. We wanted this week, all of us, and we got it. It was a dominant performance.

No problem brah, I can take you up and down the field and then commemorate the occasion on your jersey. H/T Hokie_Wartooth

Marcus Davis went H.A.M. We've all been waiting for the followup to his debut album, Don't Play that Shit, dropped against UNC in '10. David Wilson hit the holes, hard, and took the yards that were there. Both lines represented themselves in the trenches. Furthermore, it was arguably the best the d-line has played as a unit all season. The theory was Rocco couldn't play under pressure and thankfully that proved true. As far as Logan Thomas's performance, the Hype-O-Meter is officially retired. Done. That kid has lived up to all of our expectations, reasonable or otherwise.

I've been at my Mom's all house the entire week for Thanksgiving. MRSTKP and I have slept on an air mattress that's found itself deflated around 3:00 AM each night. I'm sleeping as sound as a scratched CD plays. It's led to a lot of dreams in short bursts. Two night's ago I dreamt we beat UVa 20-16. I was OK with that. We got the win and the status quo was maintained.

I wrote this at the beginning of the week.

But fuck that, I want this game to mean something more than a trophy for both teams. I want the loss to hurt that much more for the Hoos. I want TheSabre.com to be excited this week, so they can't hide behind their bullshit "we only care about sports that don't matter" line for the next 52. I want to take their best shot and stand tall so they know without any uncertainty they're just second best. I want the Hoo's hearts to be full when they wake up Saturday, and punishing Logan Thomas runs and brutal tackling to squeeze them empty for bedtime. I want Virginia's last breath to be their most difficult, and for us to be the ones kicking it out of them.

Every word paid out better than double-zero. In high school we called any shutout better than 35-0 an old-fashioned ass whooping. We were fortunate to do it six times my senior year. We'd stand on the sidelines and whip our hands around raw against a big fat pair of our opponent's imaginary ass cheeks ripe for the paddling.

I don't know about you, but I'm going to enjoy it. I'm going to enjoy the Hoos crawling back to their corner, left to crow about lacrosse. I'm going to enjoy back-to-back trips to Charlotte. I'm going to enjoy the guys on the beat recycling "the same old story". I'm going to enjoy being number one in the state for the eighth straight year.

I feel like the Grinch right now, and I'm loving it.

DANNY COALE ALL THE WAY TO THE THREE

"Pooh-pooh to the whos! They're finding out now that no [championship] is coming! They're just waking up. I know just what they'll do: Their mouths will hang open a minute or two, then the whos down in whoville will all cry, 'Boo hoo.' "

I made a thing

I made another thing: or how I learned how to make GIFs!

I swear I'm gonna stop now.

Good Set

+1000 crimson ties

I was sitting in that endzone when LT3 threw that block and it was amazing watching UVA "fans" cringe when he just blew that guy up.

Oh my. These are great things. Thank you for posting them.

From every angle, that's doing work. And please don't stop, GIFs are always welcome.

What program did you use to do your GIFs in?

The process

Grab the video off youtube using keepvid.com, convert to AVI using iMovie, make the actual gif using Photoshop's import video frames to layers feature.

The Hype-O-Meter

May not be completely dead, as he now is getting hype on the national level. I was listening to espn radio on the way home from the bar yesterday with Mel Kiper Jr. Kiper Jr. said LT3 will be a top 10-15 pick in the 2013 draft. Now that's hype!

I would hate

to face Bama in 2013 with no LT3.

For Sure

I hope he stays 2 more years. With Miller at C, LT3 should be able to pull off the QB sneak for 10 yds on every down in 2013. I would hate for him to leave early, but, if Kiper Jr is already talking about him, then NFL scouts are probably taking notice as well...

I could see

him staying, though. Now that rookies aren't making ridiculous salary from the get-go there should be less incentive to leave early. Although it's hard to turn your nose up at "top 10-15 pick in the 2013 draft". There is a lot of football to be played between now and then, though, so I'll just focus on the possibility of DMFW leaving this year.

A few thoughts...

Nice write up again, love the block by LT3. Loved seeing the big doughnut on the scoreboard at the end of the commonwealth cup. I could not have asked for more. Nice to see Marcus Davis play good. Good game by DMFW, great game by LT3 and the defense and 1 final thought... fuck Urban Meyer.

Win one for the Beamer...

No one mentioned

Danny Coale, quantum punter. He had the best punting performance of the year.
