LAME
Nice, glad we got matched with a Big Dog! /s
hope we lay it on em
Everyone who didn't catch a Penn State game last year will get to see how Satchel Pierce hasn't really changed.
Gangly and awkard?
A liability on offense as soon as he puts the ball on the floor.
But we need Bigs (TM)!!!!!
We need quality, athletic big men. It's obvious when Blackshear fouls out that we benefit from size.
Would you rather have Satch or Horne?
I would rather have an elite big
Considering Satch got ran out the gym every practice when he was here, I'd go with Horne. However if you blend Satchels size with Hornes tenacity, then that's who you go for.
Well we need Bigs who actually can play basketball. We usually end up with one or the other.
Hokies will bury them.
Guessing based on the quadrant system this well benefit us playing them on the road?
Preseason, it's basically the same as the Washington game last year
Better. The UDub game was a neutral site, this is a true road game.
I wish there was some way to do similar conference crossovers in football.
You mean like the Chick-fil-A kickoff?
Yes but x10 or so
So what you want kind of sounds like another football season in another conference? Seems greedy. I like it!
I want a coordinated crossover with another conference which would pair up 10 or so teams in each. One game per team alternate home and away every other year. Selecting the crossover matchup could be random, preselected, or somehow based on standings. It will never happen but it would add entertainment since college football has far too few good out of conference matchups.
I mean, we almost have that with the SEC every year during rivalry week.
I can't get excited about this. I'll watch, but meh. PSU'd be close to my last pick to play in the BiG.
Our options weren't great.
You figure out which B10 teams need to have home games next year because we were due to go on the road. You take out teams that we have played fairly recently. You take out the True Big Dogs (of basketball) because ESPN wants Duke, UNC and Syracuse to play them. And that left us with Nebraska, Penn State, UMD and maybe Wisconsin (if ESPN felt we were worthy enough to play them).
I wanted UMD because they should be the best of the three teams, it's closest travel and we could bring in some fans. But PSU is better than going to Nebraska.
You'd probably take Wisky out because we played them in the NCAAs two years ago.
Why would that exclude them? We've played Iowa four times in this thing and Penn State three now. That's out of 12 total games. We've only played Wisconsin once and have never played Nebraska, Maryland, Indiana, Michigan State, or Rutgers in the Challenge.
Every time I see PSU basketball on TV, a little voice in my head goes, "oh yea, they do have a basketball team don't they... They are in the Big10."
cruitin itll get after ya
Really happy about this
I will definitely be in attendence
Aye, prolly go
