247 Sports - Story: Despite his roots, Tenuta had "no interest" in UVA

Tenuta has no interest in UVA

In a day with not much good news, this is a pretty good burn on UVA. Two quotes in particular stood out:

"I had no interest at all in going to UVA and I think they were smart enough to know that I had no interest. I am pretty sure my coach told them I had no interest at all and I didn't want to talk to them or visit them. None of that. I live about 10-15 minutes away but UVA was not for me at all. I wouldn't fit at that school at all and my parents knew that. I just kind of stuck to looking at other schools."

"It's been 14 years and it will be another four years or five while I am there. It will certainly be fun to play them and beat them. It is going to be fun to get to kill them every year."

Hope this kid does well - I like him.

smart kid...a real feel-good story on this day of not-so-good news about the football program. cheered me up, anyway.

As someone who went to the same school as him for a year

With an attitude like this, I'm proud to share both a HS and university with this guy. Pretty much how I felt about LOLUVa when I was looking at colleges.

Id really like to know what young man that has a pair looks at UVa and says, "that's a place that I would fit in."

This sets up nicely for a ramming joke

Or says "I want to do hard things together."

Love this guy. Looking forward to watching him wax those cheese eating surrender monkeys up and down the field.
