So I've been thinking about this for a while... if everyone could make a starting lineup of Hokies using players from just the 10 ACC seasons, who would they pick?
I'll start the ball rolling.

That defense is so stacked. And could we put all four Fullers on this team? #ALLTHEFULLERS
I considered that, lol. Vincent did have his best year in the ACC after moving to safety.
My changes would be getting Jack Tyler in for Vince Hall, Kyshoen for Davon, Nick Becton for Andrew Miller, and Chris Hazely for Brandon Pace
Would definitely pick Macho Harris or Jayron Hosely over Jimmy Williams. Someone that is better in coverage.
I really, really, really liked that fullback we had a few years ago. Jefferson? I forget his first name. Dude NEVER missed a block. It was unreal.
Jayron wasn't really anything spectacular in coverage. If you want a cover guy I think Roc Carmichael is really underrated in terms of cover corners that we've had here. Jayron had that breakout season because no teams threw at Roc
Jayron was PERFECT for Foster's scheme though. Had a great ability to put a foot in the ground and come forward to jump routes. He wasn't just picking off lollipop throws, he was seeing the routes and beating the receiver to the ball.
Was he great in man on man, turn and run coverage? Not GREAT. But Foster wouldn't have to ask him to do that with the pass rush that he'd be getting with that front four.
totally agree. Always thought williams was overrated much like ronyell whitaker was late in his career.

PR: Eddie Royal, Jayron Hosley
DeAngelo missed the ACC years.
I've got several other corners in there so I didn't bother to edit haha
I would take Worilds over Gayle, and V. Burns at Punter. IMO. Otherwise pretty solid
If only Worilds had stayed another year....*sigh*
I had Worilds in, but changed my mind.
Same with Vinnie Burns. I'm amazed he didn't go pro.

You mean Michael Vick
It's just ACC Virginia Tech teams, not all time. Otherwise I'm sure he would've included Corey Moore
Oh true. Marcus over all other options threw me off.
Mike does't meet the ACC criteria. But Marcus is an...interesting choice.
No, I absolutely mean MV5 & backup would be T-Mobile.
Would sub Rouse for KC (even tho' KC p*wns in the pros).
Grove, Hall, and Big Adibi never played in the ACC.
I attempted to edit to Flowers & Macho, Worilds, etc...didn't take.
You're right... I did see different names once.
For alternates I select:
QB T-Mobile, Bryan Randall
RB Darren Evans, David Wilson
WR Jarratt Boykin & Danny Coale
CB Eric Green, Roc Carmichael
DL John Graves, Chris Ellis
S Kam Chancellor, Jimmy Williams
Aaron Rouse at rover
Sergio Render on OL
Chris Ellis at DE
Hosley at corner
John Graves at DT
Wilford was BE
I know I've been trying to edit this comment for days and it's not letting me.
Remember it's 1st Decade All-ACC. NOT big lEast.

I forgot Eddie Whitley. He wasn't all that great of a cover guy but, such a hard hitter.
Are you referring to Eddie Shitley?
Hey I'm sorry, but that dude gave me so many headaches with his blown and busted coverage that I don't miss him at all.
That guy made me wanna destroy so many tvs at the bars!
If Moorehead is the receivers coach in this scenario, I would put Marcus Davis on my roster. Everyone seems to focus on his blocking deficiencies, but the dude came within about 10 yards of Andre Davis' singe-season receiving yardage record on an underwhelming offense.
Given his propensity for also running sloppy and lazy routes, he should have destroyed that mark effortlessly.
Yup. I don't know that it would make a difference, but I always wonder what he would've been able to do with the current coaching staff.
Yawn..just give me the 2013 defense and the 2010 offense. Lol
You would take '13 over '07?
You know what? I'm thinking I may prefer the 2014 or 2015 defense.
i might take 06 d over 07
Yes, the 2007 played lesser teams through the first 7 games..mainly on offense.
I just want a write-in for my fave VT specialists Dustin Keys and Nic Schmidt! A 6'2" 276 lbs PUNTER!!! And he could make that ball just DIE in the 5-yard line.
Oh man, both of those guys were great.
I'm gonna go 2 deep. DE - Darryl Tapp, Jason Worilds, Orion Martn, Chris Ellis
DT - Derrick Hopkins, Jonathan Lewis, Barry Booker, Carlton Powell
LBs - X. Adibi & V. Hall, Jack Tyler, Cody Grimm, Bruce Taylor, Brett Warren
CBs - Jayron Hosley, Brandon Flowers, Kyle & Kendall Fuller, Roc Carmichael (one of those is the nickel guy)
Safeties - Aaron Rouse, Vincent Fuller, Kam Chancellor, Dorian Porch
QB - Tyrod Taylor, Bryan Randall
TB - Ryan Williams, Branden Ore
FB - Kenny Jefferson, Joey Phillips
OT - Duane Brown, Jon Dunn, Andrew Lanier, Jaymes Brooks
OG - Sergio Render, Blake DeChristopher (he'd shave me off if I didn't include him), James Miller, Nick Marshman
C- Will Montgomery, Ryan Shuman
TE - Jeff King, Greg Booooooooone
WR - Eddie Royal, Josh Morgan
WR- Danny Coale, Jarrett Boykin
K - Brandon Pace
P - Nic Schmitt
KR - David Wilson
PR - Royal
Long Snapper - Don't care that he was pre ACC, Shane Beamer's the only long snapper for me
I'll take Jason Worilds and Josh Morgan over Gayle and (gulp) Danny Coale. At TE I'm taking Greg Boone just because I want to run the Wild Turkey. Also, if Bucky Hodges ends up at TE, can we please start running the Wild Turkey again?
Josh Morgan couldn't handle the onside kick against Matt Ryan in the rain. Danny Coale is open and it was a catch.
No contest. Coale.
Coale had the best hands of any VT receiver ever, and he ran great routes, he played fearlessly, and he is still open, and it will always be a catch. The only thing he didn't have was height, can't coach that or Gentrify it either.
Boykin had the biggest hands.
Boykin is STRUGGLING against the ravens today...
My Punter would be big boy Nic Schmidt.
I would really consider Logan Thomas at quarterback, but it depends on which coaches we use. He and Loeffler seem to have really figured out this whole "quarterback" thing, whereas a lot of Tyrod's greatness (and I'm not saying he wasn't great, he was) was due to his mobility and ability to make things out of Stinespring's "offense". Sadly, we'll never know how good he would have been with the new offensive coaches building him up. The same goes for MV5
Qb- Tyrod
RB- David Wilson and Ryan Williams
Fb-Carlton Weathorford
Wr- Coale, Boykin, Royal, and Morgan
TE- Jeff king and Andre smith
OL- brown, render, Montgomery, dechristopher, and miller.
DL- Hopkins, tapp, Orion Martin Barry booker
Lb- hall adibi and Grimm
Cb- flowers and macho Harris
S- Kam c, and aaron rouse
Pr- royal
Kr- Wilson/Roberts
P- AJ Hughes
Pk- Matt Waldron
I think anyone who doesn't include Eddie Royal in this might be "certifiably insane".But seriously he's definitely in my top 2 at the wide receiver position. It's unfortunate that we didn't have some of those players under current coaching staff.
I may not be remembering everyone's last name exactly, but off the top of my head, these are the Fulle...Hokies that I'd put on the team of the last 10 years.
DE James Fuller
DE Darryl Fuller

Not enough turkey legs in the world, good sir. Well done.
Could a college team beat an NFL team? This one could.
