Khadim Sy Leaves Buzzketball, Again

Sophomore center Khadim Sy is no longer with the Virginia Tech men's basketball program. Sy has transferred to a junior college, a program spokesperson confirmed Monday.

Seemed like Buzz really wanted to make it work.

We could have used him last year for the same, before his previous transfer to JC only to return mid season and lose a year of eligibility, fiasco.

I'm disappointed this didn't work out not just because of what he could have done for our team but his success could have helped open up more paths to VT from Oak Hill. Buzz is a great coach but he hasn't (yet) really tapped into a lot of the great talent in prep and AAU circuits in the DMV. Buzz does a good job getting the most out of what he has and it'd be fun to see what he could get out of some of that talent. Sure, we're not going to get the top flight elite guys that will go to Duke. Kentucky, UNC but there's so much in the DMV and the Mid-Atlantic that even getting just a couple would go a long way to make the next step for our program
