Kevin

I only know one Lawson, and I think he might transfer.

I completely missed an opportunity here. Damn.

What's
Important
Now

Can he play DT?

Tyrod did it Mikey, Tyrod did it!!

Lawson is a DE now...QBs switching to TE is usually the norm

Hokies, Local Soccer, AFC Ajax, Ravens

I thought it was the other way 'round.

Looks like this kid was buried on the depth chart and was a long shot to academically qualify. I don't think this affects the Labor Day game much.

Probably wasn't running his mouth enough. Kelvin Benjamin and Jalen Ramsey have set the bar high and if you can't talk the talk, don't walk the walk.

Watching Kelvin Benjamin's tough guy attitude crumble the second Cam came up to talk to him was hilarious.

When did this happen I have to see

Pregame of last week's Panthers-Bills Preseason matchup.

And all of this was after Cam declined to comment to the press about any of the comments that KB made, and after publicly defending him to the media throughout his time in Carolina.

Disagree completely. KB looks like the bigger man moving on from Cam who's obviously trying to start a fight. Makes Cam look petty to me.

Mouths off to the media about how he thinks Cam is a garbage QB and he held him back throughout his career, and he can't even look Cam in the eye when Cam calmly confronts him about it?

Yeah, big man for sure

"When I was growing up, Virginia Tech was a school that was kicking ass and taking names, and it's time we get back to that" - James Franklin

Agreed, KB is a perfect example of a product of the other DBU... and no, that "DB" doesn't stand for defensive back.

You're speculating on a few seconds worth of video. Perhaps they talked about this more previously and perhaps not. In either case, this over-sensed worth of machismo you seem to hold dear to your heart is stupid. De-escalating a situation shows maturity and common sense.

There's also the fact Cam went in trying to shake KB's hand, which was refused, then tried to talk with him, and at the end you can literally hear him say "I'm trying to make amends"

All the while, KB's shoulders shrug, head drops, can't make eye contact, and tries to walk away from a guy he has openly badmouthed to the media for the week leading up to that game.

If you're going to talk the talk, at least be a man and stand up for the things you say when you're confronted by the person you're saying them about. KB couldn't. KB refused. KB came out of this looking like a coward.

If someone is angry and doesn't want to talk right now, literally getting in their face when they don't want to is the wrong thing to do. There is a time and place for everything. Cam wasn't trying to be a "nice guy" while people were filming; he was just trying to make himself look good. He didn't care about "fixing things" in public with KB and to think so is simply very naive.

It's laughable you're talking about "shoulder drop" (not true - his shoulders are pretty normal through the entire video) and "looking like a coward" - KB was smiling at the beginning and clearly deescalating by moving away. Cam was trying to rev things up by pursuing him. KB even pointed Cam way to tell him to get back to his side / his team, but Cam still tries to get in his face. In the end Cam just looks like a fifth grader trying to start a fight on the playground.

lol ok

As someone said on the radio down here last week, the reaction some have to Cam on this video is more telling than Cam's own actions.

"When I was growing up, Virginia Tech was a school that was kicking ass and taking names, and it's time we get back to that" - James Franklin

I think you were correct that people are speculating too much in Cam's favor... but now you are the one speculating too far against him based on a few seconds of video.

"I thought the kid right there you're talking to right there played his nuts off."

I would agree that I am speculating. Point is we don't know what's going on, none of us do.

So walking up to a guy and trying to shake his hand is starting a fight?

KB is a punk. Cam never held him back. His big belly and subsequent injury did. (It's easy to remember the season KB missed... it's the one where the Panthers lit up the NFC and went to the Super Bowl.)

Leonard. Duh.

I think I remember that year.

Old sigline: I've been cutting back on the drinking.

New Sigline: lol it's football season.

still went 17-2.... While a super bowl is the ultimate goal, I'd still call that an extremely successful season.

Also, more to his point, Cam won league MVP that year... without KB.

"I thought the kid right there you're talking to right there played his nuts off."

I was just being a dick because I'm a Broncos fan.

Panthers, and Cam in particular had a great season, just not a great game that day. Which I celebrated with Cuban cigars on the beach in Mexico.

That Super Bowl led to some amazing Memes

I'm not saying KB hasn't done anything wrong, but to say a guy that de-escalated a situation is a punk is pretty fifth grade. No need to try and huff and puff like you're stil trying to figure out your own hormones. That just makes you look childish.

Who did that?

VT Class of '12 (MSE), MVBone, Go Hokies!

But I am trying to figure out my own hormones. These days, there are times where I feel like a little old man, and others where I feel like I'm Mike Tyson in his prime.

It's so confusing and makes no sense to me.

Leonard. Duh.

When unsure, check mirror for face tattoo.

He can't be the one to move on when he's the guy who started the whole thing by talking about Cam on social media rather than to his face.

Not that I start fights on a regular basis, but if I was going to, walking up to my proposed target with my hands behind my back isn't how I would do it.... I think it's much easier to jump to the conclusion that Cam came to KB looking for an apology than that he was trying to start a fight. It also looks to me like KB refused to acquiesce and eventually they parted ways agreeing to disagree.

In my mind the best way to avoid confrontations is to not pick fights (physically or verbally) in the first place.

He hasn't been seen since a fight a week ago? By anyone? Is he a missing person?

I like where your heads at. I suggest...demand FSU suspend all practices and team activities until he is found. /s maybe

I mean..."He hasn't been seen, so we're kicking him off the team."? What is that?

DuFrane, search party of two...

I heard Tre Lawson had a lot of fight in him.

I guess he let some of it out at the wrong time.

I heard the real reason he was kicked off was because he preferred Krab to the real thing.
