youtube? right click on the video, click on copy embed code, paste it over here. viola!

Didn't know you can right click to copy embed code. You learn something new everyday.

if it's a youtube video, then you can just copy paste the share code displayed below the video. I have highlighted the text in the image below. After the image I have also copy-pasted the code, so you can see how the final product would look.

Side note, I didn't think of this when I filled out the TKP reader survey:

When we attract new folks to the site, there is usually a comment/question/thread about how to get this-and-that posted or make a gif of something-or-other or how to make a youtube video start and stop at such-and-such a time, so I think it would be helpful to have a 'help posting' section somewhere.

Oh, and for us keyboard addicts, if the Post button was the first tab stop after this comment box, that'd be cool, too.

I'm pretty sure it's the same as on android devices...you cannot via the app. It only gives you the ability to share the link, not the embed code. You'd have to open it up in a browser and request the desktop site (not the mobile site). Then follow the directions above.
