The ACC announced ESPN exercised a six-day hold for Clemson at Wake Forest, Florida State at Miami, and Notre Dame at Virginia Tech.
The networks and times for those games will be determined after the games of Sept. 29 among 3:30 PM on ABC, 3:30 PM on ESPN, and 8:00 PM on ABC.

Yep! You can read about it on HokieSports (link below) and there's a link about midway down to show you what color you should wear based on your section along with a stadium chart. I think it's going to look really sick. My only complaint is that they didn't stripe the student section.

I have to go to one on Sunday, but the flight is Saturday morning, landing about 2pm eastern. Was really hoping for 3:30 or later, and apparently got my wish.
This is the first year where I didn't have a wedding to go to (not just fall/football season), which to say it is/was awesome, is an understatement.
But I kinda wish I had one to go to this past Saturday..... lol
Because polling makes no sense at all only one of those three games has a chance of being a ranked on ranked matchup.
1 - I had this pegged for a nooner after the ODU loss, so I'll take either 3:30 or 8
2 - Given how much people seem to be blaming orange for the ODU loss, I don't think the stripe out is going to work at all
The problem is not the presence of orange per se, but rather the absence of maroon.
At the end of the day, it's still ND going into perhaps their last tough matchup of the year (tough being used very lightly at the moment) and ESPN loves Lane at night...so it's good ratings regardless.
I thought that the powers that be might change the Duke starting time......too late now, I imagine?
Watch us come out and beat Duke, somehow end up back in the rankings (I think we're 28 now) and get the 8 PM slot against Notre Dame.

LOL. I know that the coaches poll is crap and a GA fills it out for every team. They must only look at the previous rankings and whether they won or lost against a ranked team or not.
Incidentally, for what it's worth, we're still within spitting distance of being ranked in the AP. I think we're 27th or 28th right now.

Oh, I think you are right. They won't be putting a VT team that has lost two games in a row, one being to ODU, on at 8PM on Saturday night.
But, there is usually another game to contend with. They have someone else lined up for that 8 pm slot as well, if we beat Duke and that team wins as well, we could still end up with 3:30.
However, I have no doubt that a loss this week means 3:30.

If we beat Duke... the ODU loss will hurt even more because that shows that this really is a good team and just a fluke loss and is something that is remembered forever. ESPN in 10 years would not talk about a ODU win over a 6-6 team, but they do talk about a win over a 9-3,10-2 team. Same thing in 2010, IF we don't lose to JMU I think we have a chance to go the National Championship, we certainly had the talent that year.

Between season tickets, the mini-plans, and high donors, I don't think any ND tickets made it to the point where they were available for individual sale.

If Gameday came to Blacksburg for ND, then they'd probably have double storylines: ND being undefeated (cue national love) and VT having lost to ODU (hilarity ensues). It's totally golden television.
And give us an opportunity to at least partially redefine our season with everyone watching.
