I don't know, I probably should pull for Miami. I want them to be ranked as high as possible when we play them but at the same time, I love a good upset and it would be good for us in the coastal division...
Nooooo! We need Miami to win. If Miami loses to UNC there will be no credibility when we beat them.
Forget about ranking for a second. We should want UNC to win, because it gives Miami an ACC loss. Assuming FSU beats them, we just need to avoid an upset to take the coastal. Either way, if we beat Miami we're coastal champions, but if Miami drops two, we can lose to them and still get an ACCCG berth.
Yeah I think that's where I sit. I understand wanting to play highly ranked teams, but practically a loss helps us.
That's actually a great point!! Didn't think about that. Although it would still sort of screw up the perception of the ACC since Miami would no longer be viewed as elite if they lose tonight.

So far, it seems like Miami's strategy is: nothing, nothing, deep pass. Not going to work against our secondary.

It's an odd feeling, to be sure. I never root for Miami, though. I just can't. So anything that's good for UNC makes me happy.
My biggest takeaway so far (ignoring the injuries) is that Miami is not strong mentally. They've had a few things go wrong early and are already acting like the game is over. If we hit them early we'll take it.
We better win the Coastal.

Miami's DLs have had little to no rush on the UNC QB, and their secondary looks like they don't know what the heck they're doing out there. I think LT and the Tech receivers will do well against these guys.

Yea, now there are just lines everywhere, and even Pollack was confused earlier with white, black, blue, yellow, and green out there. I'm OK with putting the FG range line out there at the end of the game when a FG is needed for a win or tie, but having it out there all the time is just annoying.

Would this have been a close game with their starting RB and WR in for the entire game? With those two out, Miami is definitely beatable.
Miami seriously underperformed, and UNC let it slip away. No real winner there. We're going to get Miami's best shot, and my guess is that their injured guys will be fine by the time Nov. 9 comes around. If Dorsett and Johnson played this whole game, it wouldn't have been close. As always, the Hokies are going to need their A-game every week, but it is clear that Miami has some significant weaknesses that can be exploited. It's not often that a team throws 4 INTs and still manages to win.
Dorsett looks like he may have a serious knee injury. Judging by the reactions on the sidelines he may be done for the year.
I think Duke Johnson has already had one concussion this year - he can't take too many more of those.
