Wow - that went just about as badly as it could have for Dabo. Name Lawrence the starter, Bryant immediately quits the team, and then Lawrence immediately gets injured with only freshman Chase Brice left at QB on the roster.
At the moment anyway, Clemson is losing at home to Syrcause 16-7 and Brice is 3/6 for 4 yards and and pick. Ouchie.

That pick by Brice was a terrible throw
It just goes to show you that even at the top, everything has to fit together perfectly.
Biggest difference is quality depth can alleviate a lot when things don't fit together
Kid wasnt playing great anyway. Hate he is injured would prefer lose with him at helm for more than a half
I don't know how Karma plays into it, but definitely bad luck.
I will question this coaching decision for awhile. Don't get me wrong Lawrence is pretty good but he's a Fr and not a significant step up from KB. You lose depth and gain very very little for a QB that's going to be there for 2-3 more years ....now you have nothing.
I wouldn't say karma, because it seems like Dabo was in the level with Bryant. And Lawrence seems like he is an ok dude.
But certainly about the worst way it could have gone, is Trevor ends up having any lasting effects from that
OK - Karma is probably the wrong label. Maybe Murphy's Law?
I don't know anything about Lawrence personally and I would never wish an injury on anybody. It's just ironic that Clemson's QB depth issue is essentially a self-inflicted wound and it turns around to bite them almost instantly.
And with Clemson losing 23-20 with under 3 minutes to play, it is entirely possible that the cost could be a CFP appearance.
I didn't see the injury, is there any insight on if this is a back next week vs out for the season?
Looked like a really bad neck or shoulder stinger. He walked off by himself and clearly had his bell wrung a bit, but would be very surprised if he misses any significant time
Eh, I figured it was a concussion.
This could be one of the reasons Fuente likes to stay with his starter.
Two questions:
If you're Kelly Bryant and Hunter has to miss time or continues to play poorly for another week, do you come back? (He's still enrolled and Dabo said he'd welcome him back anytime)
If your his teammates do you want him back in the above scenario or do you roll with the backup that brought you back to win this game? (Supposedly Bryant is well liked in the locker room)
I was wondering this myself. If it's "just" a concussion, that means
HunterLawrence likely only misses a week or so, so even if he misses next week he'll likely be back for the following game. I doubt anything with such a short turnaround would make Bryant reconsider.Nope, you dont know what the timeline is and you're out a year of playing time if you come back. Make a clean breakaway and go play somewhere else next year.
If everyone is going to follow Saban because that's what Saban did then maybe they should have a few more national championships first. Saban also made the change when it had to be done not miss season when everyone is winning.
She had a fling with a guy she said was better than you. Now she wants you back, at least until he comes back around again. What do you do?
No way do I go back. You know what's gonna happen as soon as Lawrence is healthy. Find somewhere that you can be the man and go pursue your dreams there.
better said than my comment.
Dabo done fucked up
I don't want to say I told you so....but...
