Maybe it's time to stop ranking every other SEC team in the preseason top 10...

It was a catch

nah man, now its just a reason for the voters to rank vandy, ole miss and rocky top in the top 25 so espn can gargle the sec's balls a bit more and say things like "omg, such a deep conference, only uk and arkansas arent ranked"

A word problem for poll voters:
"Team A starts the season ranked.
Unranked team B beats team A.
What happens?"
Correct answer:
"If they're both SEC teams, drop team A 3 spots, rank team B one spot above team A. Otherwise, team A falls out."

It was a catch

Aliens....

That's what ESPN is saying

Mizzou will jump into the Top-10. I wouldn't read into it much, unless the SEC loses the Crystal Football this season.

This will just lead to talk of how balanced the conference is top to bottom, how there are no easy games in conference play, and how this demonstrates just how good the SEC really is as a whole. It's gonna take a few major OOC losses before the SEC fanboy days are over.

.

Tyrod did it Mikey, Tyrod did it!!

Minimum of 5 top 15 teams will have losses by end of today, including last night. 2 of them $EC and with aTm possible in that group too...

Auburn and aTm are tied at 17 at the half.

Still possible, and tOSU is working in a negative direction at half too.
Crazy weekend so far! I mean LOLUVa is putting a beatdown on Duke...............

nope

I hear the balanced conference argument with how the SEC is "great from top to bottom" all the time, but with UT beating USC-E and almost beating UGA in OT (2 top SEC schools), getting their butt holes obliterated by Oregon kind of throws out the conference depth argument in my opinion.

Yes, it does. I don't really judge a conference by ALL of its teams. Try to look at just to top 1/3rd or so... Doormats are doormats, and won't make a difference in a conference, and shouldn't be factored into the whole.

If Oregon wants one, this is the year for them to do it......

You mean you hear that argument all the time because it's all espn ever says. It's against their corporate policy to even suggest that maybe the sec isn't as good as they think.

There's always a lighthouse. There's always a man. There's always a city.

I watched most of South CaroLOLina losing to Tennessee and promptly fell asleep. I missed the rest of the game and woke up later to find out South CaroLOLina lost to Tennessee on a field goal. It was the most South Carolina thing. Every year, South Carolina find a game they have no business losing, and lose. Every. Single. Year.

Yeah, I'm watching Awburn playing ATM right now, and am pulling for Awburn to win because I cannot stand Johnny Manziel.

Missouri has to be the surprise team this year. After their first season, they weren't very good, and then they turned it around and started winning. Props to them.

I support Logan Thomas and make no apologies for it.

" Every year, South Carolina find a game they have no business losing, and lose. Every. Single. Year."

They are learning that art from Clemson down the street.

And A&M goes down too

Now you'll be telling me Auburn beat Texas A&M - LOL!!

What?? They did what???

I'm enjoying it and I'm looking forward to secespn take..oh the sec is the best from top to bottom..these teams would win in other conferences

obviously there is no choice but to rank every team in the SEC next week.

Hyping up Hokie Nation one video at a time.

Looks like LSU is on upset alert as well tonight

Ole Miss leading LSU 17-14 with 3:09 left in the 3rd.

Ole Miss is now up 24-14 going into the 4th quarter.

Ole Miss ahead 24-17 with 5 min left in the game - LSU with a 4th and 10 at the Ole Miss 31 - LSU gets the 1st down. Ball now on the Ole Miss 6.

LSU ties up the game, 24-24, with 3:10 min remaining in the game.

Ole Miss now on their own 41 with 1:19 left in the game.

Ole Miss on the LSU 42 - big run down to the 29 of LSU! In FG range with 1 min to go.

32 seconds left in the game - Ole Miss on the LSU 26

FG time - ball on the 24 of LSU - 4th and 4 - LSU trying to ice the kicker with a TO - 6 seconds left on the clock - kick is good! Down goes LSU!!!!!

So since Upset Saturday was used for last week, what does that make this weekend? LOL$EC?

And the SEC is like

"Exit light..."

I klutz phone finger down voted! I'm sorry! I wanted to up vote, I promise.

There's always a lighthouse. There's always a man. There's always a city.

No worries, I have a few to spare.

"Exit light..."

Lol I wasn't worried about your turkey legs, I didn't want to hurt any feelings

Teams 6-9 have lost. How far up does Miami jump? Hahaha.

Live for 32. Ut Prosim. Let's Go, Hokies.

Advancement by default. Guess that means da U is back.

"Exit light..."

Plus #3, canes will go up 3 or 4 spots

The sec is WEAK

THE SEC IS EATING EACH OTHER!!!

I hate Tennessee won.

But this chaos is nice.

During the game i was thinking you would hate that if you could watch, but the chaos is so awesome.

It will be short lived. Bama will put Tennessee back to their place next week. I called my family directly after they won today to remind them.

Think of it less in terms of UT winning, but #11 USC-e losing.

"Exit light..."

Alright, I'll admit, this is pretty funny:

"Exit light..."

I did use that on Facebook today. I supported the cause.

No, I *don't* want to go to the SEC. Why do you ask?

We don't love dem Hoos.

That's pretty funny, I guess that's HD posting that for Monday morning staff meeting smack talk..BOOM

By my count, 8 of the top 25 down, not many will hold it against Miami now for escaping. Best college football day in a long time. And how much better does the Tech defense look week to week as Alabama proceeds to demolish the SEC.

I just don't want Bama to lose to a team they shouldn't. I suppose if FSU goes to the big dance, I'll root for the Tide to lose.

Who would of thought at the the beginning of the season at this point LSU, South Carolina, Florida, A&M, and Georgia would all be out of the National Title discussion and the SEC's only hopes would be Auburn, Missouri and Alabama? Other than the obvious last team the first 2 were only expected to win around 3-5 games. This is why preseason polls are POINTLESS.

In Sam Rogers we trust.

Yesterday was a glorious day of football. Butch Jones is looking like a solid hire, and Tennessee is looking like they're not going to be a doormat anymore. Ole Miss beating LSU was awesome, Mettenberger really Clemson'ed in up there with his picks in the end zone, and Missouri is continuing to roll with a backup QB. SEC is upside down this year, so FSU and Clemson better win their rivalries in November. I have less hope for GT, but it is still possible.

Alabama is starting to look better each week...
Next week should be a real gauge as to how good they really are though.

They SHOULD wipe the floor with Tenn...just like Oregon did.

But we'll see

if it were any other conference, secspn would be going on and on about what an indictment it is of the conference. but no, now it shows the mind boggling depth of god's conference.

I was just having this conversation with someone. I am absolutely SICK of the SEC bias
