We've been doing this for years, and it has to be one of the most perplexing things about watching Fuente coach this team. I know it's not a high probability but there was plenty of time to try and get a field goal before half time.
It seems like this offense works much better when hurry-up, which we haven't consistently run since Jerrod Evans left. We've gone into 2-minute drill once or twice this year and been pretty productive with it. I don't get why Fuente is so hesitant.

There is one thing that has been consistent this season. The offense looks good for the opening drive and then falls apart.
Guys. Just a reminder. We're averaging only 19 points per game against P5 competition in our last 10 games. This UNC defense is abysmal and we only have 7 fucking points at half. Cornelson just flat out sucks
My worry is we will be just good enough that Fuente wont have the balls to make a change in regards to Cornelson.
So far Fuente's offensive expertise in Blacksburg has been Jerod Evans. We just have been so inconsistent and out of sorts since he left. Something is just not right. We cannot run on one of the worst rushing D's in FBS. Lack of physicality, playcalling is mediocre at best and so hot and cold, and we still are relying too much on the defense keeping the game close.
We do have a great group of WRs. Just not sure how we get the ball to them.
