At what point do you begin to think, are two players really worth it? I mean think about it, you have two 5-star players. That's great, don't get me wrong. But at the same time you gotta wonder if they'll even pan out. We've seen plenty of 5-stars flounder once they enrolled.

if your talking about keeping hbc, then I'd say the $11million in severance fees would be more important to the school than 2 players. And for offering timecop such a huge contract so early I'd have to simply state once more: loluva

I'm not sure how I feel about turning UVa into a Beck style loser. I rather thought of myself as one of those losers. On the other hand, UVa is clearly a chimpanzee in the time of monkeys.

Going to be honest - I am really appreciating being a VT fan right now. Could you imagine? Always failing to reach expectations? Wondering if you'll make a bowl game every year... Worrying about Duke... Losing to Duke... ugh. Thank God I'm a Hokie

Very true. The fact that they were up 20-0 on us last year before the rally, and the fact that in 2011 we only beat them 14-10, is reason enough to stay focused on them. We have a challenging stretch coming up here.

I remember when LOLUVA would always beat us..it use to piss me off but I'm enjoying this run by the cavs. Duke isn't dook anymore..it was just last year when we were down 20 to them

I was there.
We brought my Dad and Mom down to the game.
We were losing until Dad needed to use the facilities to eliminate some tailgate inputs.
VT scored.
A little while later my wife had to use the loo.
VT scored again.
It got obvious fast my family was controlling the score. We setup the timing and made sure we didn't screw things up and helped our guys control the scoring for the rest of the game. Tickled my Mom pink.
We're very careful about helping the timing and I fully blame my wife for the stinginess of our offense.
We'll get better soon.

I know what was said this week but I don't see how London survives this season. They might get a few good recruits this year but continuing to lose year in year out is going to stop that. We need LOLUVA to be better. I could see them naming O'Brien HC!

You know, as soon as they hired O'Brien, I had the same thought. That's their transition right there. Previous HC experience? Yep. Better overall record than previous coach? Yep. Done.

The UVA administration would have to spend a certain amount of money to fire London. If they don't think a new coach is likely to bring in enough money to off set that cost, what's the benefit of bringing in a new coach?
They can wait and fire him when the risk-reward ratio is more favorable.

While the $$ may be less next year in many cases these things are negotiated payouts (so much over so many years) that the cash flow isn't that big a hit.
The only high cards in TimeCop's hand are Blanding and Brown. If they bail before the end of the season he's toast. Having them signed might be attractive to a good coach.

agree, nothing more needed to say
I didn't think anything else had to be said in this thread, but I was wrong. I think you just covered it.

So NCAA football coaches, players, fans, recruits all probably wonder....

I worry a lot more about losing to Duke than UVA. Duke almost always plays us close (or we play down to them)!

Yeah, I was there too...wishing I had not bought tickets till the comeback started
Tickled or Tinkled?
I blame your wife too.
Was not paying attention to the score but when I checked the score at ESPN mobile site...
look out! the gap in the state is narrowing!
Remember the UVA app was parchment style paper. Glad my VT early decision came in before filling in more than my name on that app...
Guys!!! guys..!!!
Look at the rest of LOLuva's schedule..
GT, CLEM, UNC, MIA and US!!
Now I don't want to get ahead of myself... but...but...
They just might lose out, guys. We might get to see loluva go 2-10 and keep their coach!! I get giddy just thinking about it!!!!
You know though, really I'd way rather have a real rival than an assclown...
At the same time though...
:D UVa is so bad at football :D :D :D :D
Serves them right.
The United States is on UVA's schedule? Bet Mike London hopes they shut down again before THAT showdown
I lol'ed.
I totally read this post twice and "Guys! Guys!" came out in the voices of Bender and Cartman.

and because theyre LOLuva they dont care about winning in the interim
