so for those who dont know, howie's son got kicked out of the game against carolina for throwing a punch.

the cp fans let him know what they thought of him by throwing things. he responds with this gem.
Thanks Carolina fans 4 the flipped birds+few bottles to the head. Sticks n stones may break my bones but aluminum zimas will never hurt me.— Chris Long (@JOEL9ONE) October 20, 2013
i feel like this is one of those situations when someone feels guilt for something they do so they accuse someone else of doing that very thing. like a cheating spouse who is always acting jealous toward the faithful one. i'm not saying there isnt a large portion of carolina panther fans who are zima and cheese types but this is sort of a kettle and pot type of situation here.

Not only a jab at Carolina but himself and #LOLUVA since he's a Hoo alumn.
Actually what he said is true. Zima's just add to doucheness level of anyone who attended LOLUVA. Like the sun to superman. No way those hurt him. Fan's should start throwing beer instead
If those Zimas had jolly ranchers in them, they could stick to his jersey and leave a nasty stain that's difficult to get out.
In the gif, it looks like the Panthers player 69 threw one of the flags since he is blocking the ref. Kinda funny to watch that he threw that flag so high, it fell after the other 2 that were thrown a second later.
He got hit with more bottles than there were fans at UVa's spring game.
I could see where he would be upset, but maybe he took it the wrong way?
Maybe it was some Hoo's showing him some love?
I could imagine some Hoo's in the stands getting fired up:
Reginald: 'This is so barbaric, yet exciting!'
Cameron: 'Quite so! And it seems there is some argument developing!'
Reginald: 'Yes, and those cretins are going after our own-hold steady Mr. Long! Help is on the way!'-(Throws his Zima bottle.)
Cameron: 'Nicely flung, Reginald! That will teach those ruffians.'
That made my day. Go ahead and take the rest of the day off. You've earned it
Perhaps he just assumes that if anyone is throwing anything at a game it'd have to be a bottle of zima, as that's all he's ever seen drunk at a game. I doubt he really checked on the bottle.
oh god, i love this all
I made this for my Week 7 The Key Players GIFcap, but didn't want to sit on it until I put the post up tomorrow
That's awfully kind of you to photoshop all thos fans into the stadium as well.
haha, turkey leg for you!
i'm amazed that i couldn't find a pic of Long doing the stupid L thing besides this fake NCAA cover.
You're telling me he seriously does that? A player from the LOLHOOniversity ChuckleBunnies American Football team?
That'd be like a field-goal kicker with a rap-sheet tattooing his own initials on his arms.
(Fess up -- this embarrasses you too.)
yeah he made the 'L' after big plays, not sure if he still does. it's funny, i dont remember him doing it against us. . .
This has to be why he threw a punch-he couldn't take being 0-4 against us anymore.
serious TKP question here: is there any supporting evidence to the stereotype that LOLUVA drinks Zima, or is that an urban legend birthed here? Honestly I didn't even know they still made the stuff.
We didn't make it up, we just keep it alive...
they dont make it anymore, but it's fun to talk smack.
I know I've seen it on shelves here and there.
I was there yesterday with my LOLUVA friend and our kids (who play football together). After the incident, he pulls out a Hoos shirt, stands up and starts waving it around. That was short-lived, as I told everyone around us that his shirt is so nice and clean because he has no reason to wear it on Saturdays.
Good. Good.
It's just all kinds of hilarious that zima is his go to bottle. Maybe he said it in jest but I feel like most people would say beer bottles (especially since zima isnt in the US anymore)
