There's clearly a discipline issue, team wide. It's not just the endless mental errors and penalties, it's all the players dismissed for team rules violations recently.
Fuente has a serious problem on his hands. He needs to take a long, hard look at making fixing the culture his primary goal for the rest of this season. Not the bowl streak, not the loluva game, not even that empty 1-0 thing. Focus on discipline. If the wins come, they come, but the culture is the key.
Discipline?!? Yeah but how about talent. Saying they are young is an excuse. They are just not good.
I'd take a marginally talented team with great discipline over a marginally disciplined team with great talent every time.

Also: you're never going to fix the recruiting/ talent issues if you field sloppy teams.

I will say to those already calling for Fuente's head: Beamer very nearly got the ax in '92. VT stuck by him, and has gone bowling every year since.

If I hear one more comment about the youth and inexperience of the defense I'm going to puke up my overload of Jack Daniels. Talent is the problem. There isn't any. All the worry about low blocks, hell they can't get off any kind of block. And to make it worse they can't tackle when they do. I'm done no more venting!

The fans in stands aren't what I remember from the 2002-2007 years and I don't know the solution. Seems as long as there's a party to attend or airplanes to throw, doesn't matter what happens on the field.
