Since tomorrow is Halloween, I thought it would be fun to make a post for everybody to share pictures of their jack-o-lanterns or any fun Halloween decoration they have done. I just finished mine up. So what does everybody got? I did 3 pumpkins. A Día de Muertos lady (76 lbs), Smaug's eye (93 lbs), and a unicorn (to match my daughter's costume - 28 lbs)

LOL. Sort of. I spent most of my free time for the last 5 days with a x-acto knife and a sharpie doing these things and I thought somebody should see them. Also, I wanted to see if anybody else does pumpkins like this and how they do them.
Great work! Here is mine, from a contest held at our local hospital:
Nice!
HokieEnginerd has fun with the pumpkins. People come to see what the "Pumpkin House" has every year.
Great job on all of them, love the Día de Muertos one! I know that took forever (and likely many hand cramps). I didn't have time to do anything crazy this year, work has been nuts lately. But here are a few of my past ones. Happy Halloween Hokies!
Wow that Darth Vader pumpkin is incredible
Thanks, that's the best one I've ever done. It took about 8hrs. I've got to figure out how to use a dremel to speed things up.
Yeah, my hand was sore by the end of every night. I had to take some breaks though so I didn't get carpal tunnel in a matter of days.
TMI, Enginerd. TMI.
Yeah, I walked right into that one didn't I?
Something quick I did last night with 2 toddlers crawling all over me.
that's awesome
I didn't even notice the shadow till like the third time I scrolled by it... nice job!
Crazy that you got the shadow to look like ooogey boogey or however you spell that things name. Haven't seen him since Kingdom Hearts.
Thanks. I usually try to do something on the reverse side like that relates to the main image, adds a little depth to it.
Done!

Seriously...you guys are amazing. these are great.
I mostly manage to get two eyes and a mouth carved into a pumpkin, and every one is unique, but I applaud the masterpiece VT (and other design) pumpkins!
Nice job.
Are you using small LEDs to light these things? Otherwise that's a hell of a candle!
The lady one I have a shop light in while the others have one or more strings of white Christmas lights in them. The LED ones are really bright.
These are from last year (no time for carving this year):
From one corgi household to another...
Oh my, you have a corgi. What an incredible blessing that must be!
Haven't gotten to carve a pumpkin this year. But this has been my avatar for some time, and one of my favorites that I have done in the past.
That's awesome! May have to try that pattern next year, it turned out great.
Sweet! I have been trying to do a Death star for a couple of years, but with small kids, trying to find the time to actually do it is tough, I might get a fake one next year so I can work on it as I have time.
Scariest pumpkin I've ever seen...
This is way scarier to me.
Personally love this one the best...

love me a good pumpkin pi
For any other Souls fans, made this Knight Artorias. I am not much of an artist, failed in two other carvings I tried, but was really happy with how this turned out.
He has done some really cool ones.... The Great Pumpkin, Gandalf, Maleficent, A Dia De Los Muertos skull on a white pumpkin, Hokie Bird (his avatar), Mickey as a skeleton. Every year he does one to match our daughter's costume--- Paw Patrol, Shopkins (he drew it and she painted that one), Rainbow Dash, Hello Kitty, and the Unicorn.
Carves amazing pumpkins, smokes amazing meats...so you're saying he's pretty much good at everything, except eating mashed potatoes like a normal person?
She also didn't have to see him last week after going to TOTs before the tailgate.
I wonder...did all of those rail cups make it home with him? The last photographic evidence I have on my phone is Shrader holding 11 rail cups, but I'm pretty sure that is one too many. Unless APFOW liked a rail so much someone got him a third?
Yes, all 11 rail cups made it home. So now we have a grand total of 13.. a nice set of "crystal" drinkware. Smoker day and tailgating cups 😛
I was told he stopped at 2 and didn't die, so I assume that he was not too bad...
Yes!!!!
I haven't carved any pumpkins this year, but this is one I did a few years back...

Not as intricate as all of yours, but this is mine this year.
These are all amazing Great Job!!!
Wow. That was a crazy night of trick-or-treaters. We had well over 120 kids. Lots of people were taking pictures of the pumpkins and some even stopped to pose with the pumpkins. That was entertaining.
Yeah, yeah... Pumpkins look amazing but let's get down to the real issues here. do you take the guts out with fork or spoon?!
