It is interesting that he verbally committed to Louisville back in May, and now a bunch of the 24/7 folks are saying he will end up at Virginia Tech.

So Beamer is starting to recruit committed players? I know we kinda did that with Maddy, Moss, and McLaughlin, but somehow it just seems....so....un-Beamer to do that.
Traditionally, we only pursue committed players if they contact us first. Who knows if that was the situation here or not.
In the past, if a committed player told us to leave them alone, we did. However, if they left the door open for future contacts, we stayed in contact to see if anything changed. Very passive approach, in my opinion.
I believe we started becoming more aggressive a couple of years ago, but with the new offensive coaches and the improvements Stiney has made to Tech's recruiting, we simply aren't taking "no" for an answer. Coach Beamer has also become more actively involved in the process by attending more games in person.
This year we offered Kavaris Harkless after he committed to Louisville as well. Also we are fighting Louisville for Brandon Lee and now Isaiah Ford. Welcome to the ACC cardinals ;)

Soooo maybe I'm going out on a limb here but Clint Hurtt (Miami Allegations) is Louisville's recruiting coordinator. Possible reason for Ford's flip?

Man, recruiting seems to be really picking up lately. Let's hope it keeps up.
Remember after last year? We were dead and buried. Now look at us. Shane said in a tweet a few weeks back that "the best days of VT football are ahead of us". The way recruiting is going I tend to agree with him.
