What's the mood in the room? What's your prediction for the Hokies? How do you believe the game will play out? Let's discuss the game ahead of Saturday.
Expecting a game similar to UNC - lots of maddening plays, plenty of opportunities for both teams, team that makes the fewest mistakes wins. Another 3 hour stomach ache.

It's the only thing my one WoW guildy and I agree on:
Fuck Pitt
I haven't had much of a bead on this team all season beyond "it feels like the 2003 team", so I really don't know what to expect. My hope is we rally the troops and come out with a three-game winning streak going into the ACC Championship.
My expectation?

I feel a bit better based on what I saw from the LB's and DB's tackling-wise last week. That said, the offensive regression has me pretty concerned. The plus side, is Pitt's defense might lend itself to a game where we can let Willis make a lot of those "go up and win the battle" type throws for Tre, Hazelton, Kumah, etc and let them exploit some 1 on 1's in Pitt's matchup zone.

If he can promise it for the next five football games and it actually happens for all five, I'll pay for your TKPC membership and buy one myself despite my post in the other thread.
That would, btw, mean winning the ACC Championship and a Peach/Cotton Bowl trophy!

My heart and head are in somewhat of an agreement with you. Definitely hoping to see things looking better.
Heart also says it will be physically painful if it is anything like UNCheat.... Stomach will be happy---filled with all the smoked yumminess that HokieEnginerd will provide... Liver is unsure of how the weekend will go.

Lots of attempts at mashing the opposition followed by play action fades from both teams. We've shown we can at least contain a conventional running game to some degree, but Pitt's fullback could make the difference for them. Offense will need to score at least 28. Hoping for the best, as always.

My kids have Kempo testing for their belts during the game and I am not even mad. Just gonna check in occasionally on espin to see the box score. if we win this or against da U I will tune in to see if we can pull the upset over da hoos and go bowling...

I think the defense is maybe starting to figure some things out, but there aren't enough bodies to handle the workload of a quick, ineffective offense like the 3rd quarter against BC. They'll just wear down. Offense has to sustain some drives and score more than they have recently if we want a chance.

I weirdly for the last couple weeks have looked at this game as our most likely to win, Pitt loves playing that Cover 4 that we ate up with fades in 16, what does Willis and our receivers do best? Jump balls, the defense showed some signs of life last week, I think we pull it out

At best a 50/50 chance to pickup a W, as is the rest of our schedule. We need cut down on these misfires and mental errors. I want to see our offense and special teams carry the team, to compensate for our very young and depleted defense.

I've haven't felt good about a Pitt game since 1999. Too many bad memories from the early 2000's. I don't think I've ever gotten over my hatred for them since Vick got hurt against them in 2000. Somehow in my adolescent mind, I convinced myself they did it on purpose and cost us a Natty. However, I think we show up for this game. Not saying we win, but I think it will be close. Mainly b/c I think they're defense is equally as bad as ours soooo hopefully we can take advantage of it.

Feeling really good. We've seen the offense show up but not the defense, we've seen the defense but not the offense. We've seen some quality special teams play. We've seen some special teams melt downs. We've seen nobody show up at all from the whole team. We've seen everything under the sun this season except for a complete game in all three phases. At some point we'll cover that combo too, I think it's gonna be tomorrow.

I know we're beaten' up on the depth chart, but I'd just like to see a sense of urgency by this team. All teams are beaten' up physically by this stage of the season, but we need to show some effort instead of just going through the motions. Like what I see from the young LBs, Rico and Dax, but they need some help from the guys up front. We seriously need a "space eater" in the middle of our d-line - not having Settle in the middle has hurt us big time, both against the run and pass. Pitt is probably going to try and run the ball down our throat, so we need to step up in a big way.
Our o-line needs to play nasty, and take a little pride in seeing some success in the running game. Pitt doesn't have Aaron Donald anymore, right? I think if they give Willis some time to throw, we'll be alright.
Do all this, limit mistakes and turnovers, and we can win this road game like we won the Duke game. If not, it'll be an ugly game that favors Pitt. We need to step up and punch them in the mouth before they know what hit them.

If we're looking at Pitt as similar to BC, I think we have a decent shot. We gave BC a TD on a silver platter, add to that 1 FG made for them and 1 missed for us and thats the entire difference in the final score... which is pretty remarkable considering how just flat out bad we looked for long stretches. I'm hopeful the same road team shows up tomorrow that showed up for Duke..
I'm irrationally optimistic for this one

I'm expecting Pitt to be like the best combination of BC and GT which is not good. I have read they run more misdirection plays than BC, and I am concerned that is going to slow down our defense enough for either of their two running backs to make big plays.
I also am not convinced our coaching staff is going to make adjustments to best use the personnel we have, instead I think they are going to continue down the path of "working on execution". In the run game, the only team we are a threat to is our own.
I hope I am wrong and our defense does tie up their legs with their heads and that our coaching staff continues to do what works until the game is out of reach. I also expect the players to step up and stop committing unforced errors.

Expecting a loss. The offense hasn't put together anything resembling a complete game since Duke. No idea what expect from this young D. Unfortunately this puts Pitt in the driver's seat in the coastal which pains me because Fuck Pitt, but at the same time seeing Nardouche go into full meltdown mode when they get rolled by Clemson could be entertaining.

Seriously though, I think we will see some of what we've been seeing from a Fuente team for almost 3 years now. An offense that gives us one solid to good half of football followed by something that is anywhere from average to abysmal.
I do expect the D to continue to take strides in the right direction. Great? No. Good? Maybe. Serviceable? Absolutely.

How do I feel?
Like this: Please, PLEASE, please don't fuck up the damn game. Seeing & observing Nardouchenozzle in frustration & anguish has a very, VERY positive impact on my personal health.

Yes, that's right. We will score two safeties and that's itt. I'm betting they're both bad snaps with a punter with his back to the end zone, where the "End Zone" is a strip joint just outside of State College proper

Eh, we've only got a few games left and the off-season is worse than any game against Pitt. Just going to enjoy watching the Hokies play and appreciate that it's still football season.

This is the answer I came for.
Gross.
It is. But it's based off the performances I've seen from the team this year.
I was reaching for an ejaculation joke. Dont mind me.
Right over my dum dum head. I apologise.

70-3. VT wins. Book it.
I'll have what he's having.

you need 70 points a game to get a TKP membership? bruh
Combined score of 350-15 in favor of VT in order to buy myself AND AssPocketFullOWhiskey a TKPC membership.
I'm gonna hold you to that.
I'm just having a little Hokie Pride. I can fill up your flask brother. Got me plenty to go around.
I need one too please..
Heart says we win. Head says we lose. Hopefully we just see some improvement, regardless of results.
My heart and head are in somewhat of an agreement with you. Definitely hoping to see things looking better.

Same way I feel when I click "Log In" from an article and get taken back to the homepage. Irritated and pessimistic.
I feel like they're the same team as BC just less dynamic offensively. We have struggled vs BC and Pitt for decades and we'll continue to tomorrow.
My kids have Kempo testing for their belts during the game and I am not even mad. Just gonna check in occasionally on espin to see the box score. if we win this or against da U I will tune in to see if we can pull the upset over da hoos and go bowling...
Upset at home over UVA, not a phrase I thought I would ever hear.

Another no-show and a 14-17 point loss. Horrible nightmares of seeing the jubilation on Narduzzi's face ensue.
one way or another, I think this game will require a RDR2 crime bender for the rest of the day
Destiny 2 (Base version) is free forever if you download in the next week I believe. Another good shoot and $40 bucks to get all DLC.
I've got a Pitt in my stomach!
Pitt happens
Scrolled around looking for this

How can anyone know.

34-21 VT win. We score big early on their bad defense then hold on during the second half with a turnover in the fourth quarter to seal the deal.

These Hokies are not HardSmartTough, unfortunately.
PItt is at home, Senior Day, and they've circled this game because of last year.
My wife and I don't have to be anywhere this weekend, and no kids are coming to visit.
I'm not feeling too good about this game, but I like my chances for some serious action.

QUAD BOX GOAL LINE STOPS!!
Bottom right is a gif that ended too soon
giants giantsHOKIES, HOKIES!I'm expecting Pitt to be like the best combination of BC and GT which is not good. I have read they run more misdirection plays than BC, and I am concerned that is going to slow down our defense enough for either of their two running backs to make big plays.

I feel like Jessie Spano addicted to caffeine pills
Had a good feeling about last weekend until the disaster that was the end of the first half.
This weekend I have a feeling I will need to make a beer run.
I feel like they are gonna run it down our throats and we wont stop them.
Yep. Book it.
I feel like I may need to buy another bottle of bourbon....
We win. Willis has a great game, picks apart their db's, receivers win the majority of the 50/50 balls.
Peoples breaks a 30+ yard run.
I feel like shit.

I would like to see a Fam thread after the game instead of a Vent thread.
The game is at Pitt, so.....
Seriously though, I think we will see some of what we've been seeing from a Fuente team for almost 3 years now. An offense that gives us one solid to good half of football followed by something that is anywhere from average to abysmal.

Puck Fitt.
This season has felt completely off since the hurricane.
Like they can eat shit.
Am I doing this right?
I'd say pretty right.
Fuck it, close enough for me. Call it good.
Offense will play decent but Pitt will run for 200+ and pull away
How do I feel?

I've been cleaning up a lot of 💩 today, hopefully our team doesn't have to do that tomorrow.
42-4 Pitt
Yes, that's right. We will score two safeties and that's itt. I'm betting they're both bad snaps with a punter with his back to the end zone, where the "End Zone" is a strip joint just outside of State College proper
I assume the field is still in decent shape after the Pitt/Carolina game?
I am hopeful we can squeeze out a win...
This may be the only time ever that I'm going to a wedding on a football Saturday and I have zero care that I'm going to miss the game.
I won't be staying up late for this game. I'll check the score in the morning
