I don't know Zion has 70 lbs on clarke....I haven't watched enough dook to know the in's and outs of Zion's game in the paint but thats a lot of weight he can throw around, I agree he would a good/best option we have but I don't think there's anyone in college basketball who is perfect for defending someone who is the size of JJ Watt with the leaping ability of Vince Carter

While the win tonight was obviously the best in terms of "quality win", it's equally important to note that Ball St and Northeastern are quality RPI builders as well. NE already beat Harvard and Bama and is a clear favorite to win their conference.
Likely at least one of those teams is playing in the tourney.

I REALLY hope that Hill has gotten over the hump. The last couple seasons we have seen him play well against lesser opponents but not so well against better teams. He was big in this tournament against a potential tournament team in Northeastern and a definite top 25 team in Purdue.

Little known fact about this tournament: By winning the championship, we officially own Charleston for a full year. All Hokie alumni are free to do whatever they wish within the city limits.

More importantly, a big resume builder. This will be listed in our "quality win" column in March
Oh and obviously Robinson and Nickeil have been getting tons of (well deserved) credit, but how big was Hill in that 2nd half?
Hill's defense of Edwards was tenacious in the second half, especially the last 10 minutes.
Yeah and he had quite a few huge buckets too
so tenacious a band named themselves after his performance
Very impressed with our team tonight. There was definitely a lot of energy and solid decision making.
Happy? Yes. Is it March yet?
Hey now, there's a full season of Hokie basketball to enjoy, don't rush to the very end yet
We want Dook

Damn Chris Clarke would have been the perfect guy to defend Zion

Haha yeah I just meant regarding our own roster, Clarke would have been the ideal fit.
You're going to be happy when you check the teams we play every year.
Congrats to the men's basketball team for a hard fought win.
For some reason, I am having trouble getting too happy. I worry that the same fans who love you now will turn on you if you don't keep this up.
You should check the game thread from before halftime. Those are their usual swing posting.

Hill & Nickeil played all 40 minutes. Robinson played 39. Those guys have motors

So, are we officially a basketball school, now? Is that what it feels like to be a Duke fan?
Nah, to be a Duke fan Daddy has to have a lot of money or you just have to be a trash bandwagon person.
