Buzzketball officially welcomes 4 early signees to the 2019 class

Hokies add four during signing period

BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech head men's basketball coach Buzz Williams has announced the signings of Andre Gordon, Yavuz Gultekin, Anthony Harris and Emanuel Miller to National Letters of Intent on Wednesday. The quartet will enroll at Tech for the 2019-20 academic year.

"Virginia Tech basketball got better with the signing of these four outstanding young men," Williams said. "These players fit perfectly into the culture of our program, both on and off the court. Not only do they address our needs, they will contribute in multiple ways and help continue the process of building our identity."

The class is ranked No. 18 in the country according to Rivals and No. 20 according to 247 Sports. All four players verbally committed to the Hokies in October.

4 guys who can handle the point. All have great handles and passing ability.

Gordon is the one to watch on film.... absolutely explosive athlete/ scorer.

Gordon can hit the threes but what I'm liking the most is his ability to create opportunities for his teammates to score easily...gonna love watching him in the future

Nice. We still have a couple spots to fill too. If NAW leaves early, the only upperclassmen on the team will be Blackshear, Bede, and Horne. I get the feeling Buzz will bring in a grad transfer or maybe a JUCO. If NAW leaves, we could use someone with some experience who can start right away.

Couldn't agree more. Buzz is recruiting those 50-150 ranked guys that stick around for 4 years, not those top 20 guys that are one and done. Honestly, I'll take our guys and enjoy watching them get better for four years. Who doesn't like guys like JRob, Med, and Blackshear?

I'm ok if that's the case. UNC won it all that year, so I'd consider that successful for us

The great thing about this class is that's it a great base to start. We still have more schollys to give. If we have a killer season, we will be a very attractive team for the later signing period.

I found TKP after two rails from TOTS then walking back to my apartment and re-watching the 2012 Sugar Bowl. I woke up the next day with this username.

Anonymous Sauces are saying that CC's ex-gf lied about the incident, was thrown out of VT for lying and currently attending a school in FL.

All hearsay and conjecture. Nobody knows exactly what happened. I'm reserving judgment until all the facts come out. But if all of this were false accusations and CC comes back:

Not that I'm saying those rumors are wrong, but how would she get kicked out mid semester and already taking classes at another school? Logically, it doesn't make a ton of sense to me. And while I thankfully never dealt with the honor court that doesn't seem like something you'd get thrown out for. Either way I hope nothing actually happened, just because the rumors surrounding it are pretty terrible.

ohmygod.

but, reminder, ACL's are somehow not as long of a recuperation for basketball players as football players. Chris Clarke blew his out on 2/12/17 and played in his first game back on 11/10/17.
