Virginia Tech Football Recruiting: Joshua Fuga Commits to the Hokies

The Hokies added a three-bills defensive tackle to their 2019 recruiting class.

Virginia Tech pushed its chips all-in on in-state defensive tackle Joshua Fuga, and it paid off. Fuga, a former Temple verbal, decommitted from the Owls on Saturday and opted for the Hokies on Sunday.

The 247Sports Composite rates the 6-1, 300 pound Freedom HS (Woodbridge) product a 3-star (0.8275) defensive tackle.

That might be the first highlight video I have ever seen of a defensive player where the offense scores a touchdown. He's a big kid. Good get.

Temples one of those group of 5 schools that always finds defensive gems. They always have a few guys that are nfl caliber even though they aren't highly recruited out of hs. Out of all our new DT targets he's the one I wanted the most, I feel good about this kid.

He throws the "Respect my Decision" in his tweet, but I have the feeling there are only about 10 Temple football fans that will notice and the rest may figure out that he is missing come the start of next season. Still, its nice to be Big Doggin for a change.

Plan for the worst and hope for the best, not the other way around.

I just love the photo... used to make sure that all my DEs and LBs had the visor on in NCAA football when EA was still making the game. It always gave the impression that 10 sacks, a couple pick-6's, and a broken QB was imminent.
