OT: Football Season Ticket Renewal - Marketing Win

I've seen a couple of posts from folk bashing the marketing office for sending out donation emails and other blast communications after big losses and at other points in the season that seemed a little bit tone deaf. We all agreed that they didn't seem to understand the pulse of the fan base.

I got an email today with the link to renew my season tickets and these were the images in the email and what I saw when I clicked through the link. The email focused on signing day and renewing my pledge. The link was customized to me with a big orange 'RENEW NOW' button and a listing of my seat locations from last year.

Nicely done by the marketing office this year.

That might be the worst home schedule I've seen us play in a very, very long time.

Agreed, I gagged a little when I saw it again earlier today. It's tough to look at

I think I gagged a lot...ugh.

I hope a shit load of people don't renew want to move on up the seating chart, because 2020 looking damn good.

Wet stuff on the red stuff.

And that, my friends, is Exhibit A) of why you stick with your team in the down years. Our donor level isn't anything to write home about. We give what we can. Neither are our seats according to many, but we love the SEZ. Our priority number keeps on moving up to fairly respectable numbers though because we have stuck with our season tickets through the 7-6 seasons.

If you play it, they will win.

Two, now three, of the teams I'd like to RUTS out of the stadium, though.

But we get the defending Coastal champs at home!

The Orange and Maroon you see, that's fighting on to victory.

Yeah, them putting that front and center while trying to sell tickets kinda negates the rest of the marketing win.

I've been to at least 1 home game every year for 20 years now.

I'm not sure that any of those games will be worth the flight from California to make it 21, unless it happens to be the weekend before Thanksgiving.

Enter N19ght indeed. Zzzzzz....

Over/Under on Noon games next year at home?

I'll stick it at 5 and take the over with that gag inducing home schedule.

Well, we haven't played well at home recently, so maybe we need the ugly schedule to right the ship in Lane.

You will see this game, this upset and this sign next on ESPN Sportscenter. Virginia Tech 31 Miami 7

His decision was made after a phone call with longtime Virginia Tech assistant coach Bud Foster. All Foster told him was, "We win. They don't."

Yep. If you want easy wins, ODU and WF are the way to go...
