The two bigs at 6'10" and 7'2" are going to challenge Blackshear. Since they split time, they will stay fresh; and since they only play half the game, they probably will not get in foul trouble. Blackshear needs to eliminate the careless fouls and stay in the game. Without him, we will not match up well with the Orange.
The key to this game is being able to defeat the famous zone defense. We need to play our game with rapid ball movement and paint touches followed by open 3's; and we need to make the open 3's.

You are correct, Blackshear needs to play smart, no stupid fouls!
We need to get out and run when we get the chance before they can get back and set up in that zone. We've done pretty good against the zone the last several times we've face it. Hopefully that will continue.
We have got to limit the turnovers against these guys. Especially passing the ball. There can't be any lazy passes to the inside of the zone. And for goodness sakes don't telegraph passes!

Need a good bounce back win against a quality team after two beatdowns from UVA and UNC (Wake barely counts but they're a bad team). And it'd definitely be nice to have a good showing in a prime time slot for a change. 2019 hasn't been kind for us so far in that regard

Watched the post game this morning, and just...Wow. Love everything about Coach, and even though it is unlikely he'll be a lifetime coach at VT, I'm so thankful for the time that we've been able to call him ours. I'm also thankful for the time he's had to touch the lives of young men that step onto our campus. I almost got choked up watching it. 😪

No he's not going anywhere to my knowledge. He's just a very nomadic type coach, and just cut from a different cloth. I know he tends to work on his contracts by himself without a agent. Just a very unique guy. So many on this site have often feared his departure. We definitely need to enjoy the ride while we can though.
