I have high hopes this guy can deliver solid snaps and help solidify or DT depth and maybe clog up some running lanes.
A brick wall would be very helpful in stopping the run which killed our defense this year. At this point I'll gamble on the DB's being athletic enough to cover well and hopefully get coverage sacks. If he's got a good motor, even better!

From the film I watched he looked like he could move for a big boy. Slanted well and fought off double teams well. Wasn't the greatest pass rusher though.... but what do I know lol

I think you're both right. Prime rib or cowboy ribeye (which is a bone-in ribeye).
It may be the same cut, but I've never heard it called a rib-eye when roasted as the whole cut, which that obviously was, and never heard it called prime rib when grilled or pan seared. My (up)vote was for prime rib.
And before it was sliced, it was part of a rib roast. My wife cooks one every Christmas.
fair point. cut before or after cooking is a good distinction. that one is obviously cut after cooking.
I ate one of these bad boys around Thanksgiving. I have colon issues and even though it was heaven to eat, I almost had to stay in the bed the next day due to the meat sweats and my colons revenge. TOO much meat and it kills me to say that

I liked the highlights, he moves well, gets to the running back, even lines up a little wider. Get him in a rotation with Hewitt and our other cc pickup and maybe Porcher, now we got some depth. Hopefully we sign two solid commits for 2020
Had the chance to talk to his head coach yesterday evening. Said he has loads of potential, just needs to get his footing once he gets to camp.
At 325 lbs, I would say it's always good to get your footing.

He chases down the play a lot. He had a couple WR tackles in his video. I really like that about him.
The other thing that stood out is he looks more of a space eater. Many times he made the play he never got penetration, he was just near the play and went after it.
I'm excited.
Solid pickup. Needs to shed some weight and gain some upper body strength. Would prefer him to be a 3rd or 4th option but may have to log starter's snaps
Do you think Fuga will be in the rotation this year or will he need a redshirt year?
I know the point of the event is to get fans hyped up about the incoming freshmen, but after hearing Hamilton describe how Fuga's senior game tape had no "lowlights" (our coaches like to dig through game tape to make a lowlight reel to contrast against the highlights).. I expect him to be in the rotation. He's got good size, great burst, and played both ways all year for his HS. Probably as the #4 or #5 DT, depending how things shake out with Porcher, Cunningham, and Crawford.
My feeling as well. I'd expect him to compete for the 2-deep
At this point just knowing that we actually have 4 warm bodies on the depth chart is a sweet sigh of relief. Hopefully all 4 compete and improve and we have a solid two-deep going into the fall.
Yeah, as much as we want another Settle on the inside, at this point it's really good to just have names to fill the 2 deep. The next step is for them to work as hard as possible so they are ready for the 19 season.
It's a real shame we couldn't get either Adarious Jones or Victor Dimukege.
A desperate position of need. I like it, we need DTs that can play THIS season. This kid seems to fit that bill.
