As previously talked about on here, PMT with Barstool stopped by and saw Buzz recently on campus. They just posted this video. Pretty funny stuff and cool exposure for the program and the school in general. I know Barstool isn't everyone's cup of tea, but it's fun seeing Tech getting attention like this.

Just literally send this link to all our recruits. This shows Buzz isn't just a great coach, but has one heck of a sense of humor.
I hope VT sports media is paying attention, because this just laid the blueprint on how to approach recruiting with a unique aspect that puts us in a great spot.
Whit: Hey Justin, the writers from Barstool want to do a funny video with you, what do you think of...
Whit: Nevermind, I'll ask Buzz instead.
Buzz did an interview with PMT back innnn the summer(?) and it was damn good. That dude has one hell of a story.
Holy shit, Buzz is ridiculous
Never have I been more proud to have Buzz as our coach and felt like a total piece of shit.
I created a thread on here back when it first came out. Still in awe of the fact that he befriended the mail staff and various secretaries to avoid paying for stamps.
Anything that an show some personality behind a major D1 school is huge. Love the culture that Buzz has built for our basketball program.
VT needs more of this. Well done Buzz.
Somebody needs to tell CBW 'Quit Cussin'
"THE STACK!"
Anyone elses "n" key not working?
Was going to type "no", but it went to the next comment...
Made me laugh. Tried to up vote but that's broken for me too. Guess I'll restart the machine.
o.
Ok, maybe I'm just old, or out of the loop, but I have no idea who those people were (except Buzz, of course). And to me the video was "eh". But I'm guessing that 40+, overweight, married males are not the target audience. So, if it works.... Great.
PMT is a very popular sports podcast. They get good interviews and are genuinely funny. Sort of mocks the very sincere sports debate shows but also have lots of original bits. They are a huge deal in the current sports media landscape and this is great PR for the program.
40+, overweight, married male here. PMT is the only sports related show I listen to/watch. It's good stuff, even for us old fogies.
You're the target audience AgHokie. I'm 40+, overweight and married too.... Check these guys out.
Perhaps I should have been more clear. I don't think that I'm the target audience for that particular video.
No, I don't know who the other people are, from what y'all are saying they're good, but I don't have time to listen to podcasts anyway.
Anyway, sounds like good exposure for the program, so that's good.

It's the #7 ranked podcast out there just to give you an idea about how big this is.
Little background on the crew in the video.
There were a few different barstool personalities in the video. The main two are Big Cat & PFT commenter, the hosts of Pardon My Take.
Big Cat = large man in blue sweatsuit, Wisconsin Grad, divoted Chicago sports fan. Very funny and sings a lovely national anthem.
PFT = Goofball in the suit and goggles. The second co-host of PMT. Always wears glasses to "conceal" his true identity. A Virginia guy himself, loves the Caps and other D.C. sports. Does his best to stay woke on current US. happenings
The other guys/ girls in the video are Hank, Kate, & Rone.
Hank = the producer of Pardon my take. The 3rd wheel of the podcast.
Rone = a very fun barstool personality and very good rapper. not associated with the podcast in any way, just happened to be on the bus when traveling to Atlanta.
Kate = @KateBarstool. Another hilarious & upcoming barstool personality. former Marine & diehard Philly fan. Has a not so secret crush on Gritty (Don't we all).
I'm just a Beard and ignorant of these sorts of things. What does barstool do to piss people off? I don't spend any time there because honestly they don't offer anything I need.
The rest of the site does a lot of trolling. A lot of it is at ESPN and the NFL's expense and is really funny, but some of it crosses the line. Pardon My Take steers clear of the crap the rest of the site can get into and literally gets every big name in sports to come on. Cool thing is, it's always a very untraditional interview style so you get to see different sides of a lot of athletes that you wouldn't see otherwise.
If you don't like Barstool that's cool, but you should really give PMT a shot, they're kind of their own thing.
Yep. There is a reason ESPN tried to give them a shot.
The ending scene of BVT is the most electric ending to a show/episode in TV history
