#BCHATE Week anyone?

After all the games BC has played us close at nooner-kicks, can we move on from the disappointing game against Duke and right the ship with some solid, AA-grade #BCHATE?

I'll start it off.

I get every Falcons game during the season, and I'll watch it until I remember Matt Ryan is THAT GUY that beat us in Thursday night with the ridiculous drive, onside recovery, then hail mary.

For the masochists among us, here's the highlight reel.

To this day I still can't stand Matty Ice. But that's ok we still got him back in the ACCCG. #BeatBC

@AMB4VT

I'll never forget filing out of Lane that night, and turning back to look at the field once more and seeing Coach Jag-o-whatever dancing on OUR 50 yd line.

That did it for me. I HATE BC. They're evil, and they must be destroyed.

Leonard. Duh.

Jackoffginski, I believe was his name.

It was a catch

just the vision of Matt Ryan jumping into his coaches arms after that drive pisses me off.

The only image I hate more is the one of Coleman Collins with his hands on his head after that Duke Half-Court bullshit. ESPN plays it EVERY SINGLE YEAR.

I hate all New England teams. Especially Boston College.

We can expect them to play tough defense. But I expect us to play them tougher, and that will be the difference.

I.... I hate BC...

That was a horrible night!!!!! POURING rain was very bearable until that final drive. Horrible. I couldn't watch ATL after that. Now I am an NFL drifter. I cannot EVER support Matt Ryan.

Yeah, it got cold right as the clock hit :00. I loved the irony in having the tiny towels handed out before the horribly wet game, too.

I didn't even notice it was raining until that touchdown. My dad was the only person in that stadium that didn't know what happened because he passed out mid 4th quarter from drinking too much Bourbon before the game

Your dad is the best

It was a catch

I remember the rain slowing down and stopping. That was when the panic started, I had watched enough BC film that year to know what Matt Ryan could do with a dry ball. Bud Fosters worst end of game in a LONG time.

Thought process upon seeing the article title:

I read it as BC HATE but after reading your post I thought BCH ATE SOME GRANOLA

I'm probably in the minority, but this didn't make me hate Ryan. I hated the end of the game, but I was more perturbed with Bud switching to prevent those last 2 minutes. If you give an elite quarterback 10-15 yards, he will take them all day & make you pay. My buddy & I stood in the stands in the rain a solid 5 minutes after the game just staring in disbelief. On the walk to the car, he said he thought that the cold & elements gave us our only shot of beating Matty Ice, I said on the spot that I couldn't wait for Tampa (that was a Tampa year, right?) because we were going to steamroll him.

Yeah we dropped that game pretty hard. But Bud has been adamant for all time that there was no change to prevent.

My football IQ is certainly not in the same stratosphere as Bud and as per tradition had imbibed enough alcohol to kill an elephant, but it looked a lot like prevent to me.

but I was more perturbed with Bud switching to prevent those last 2 minutes.

From what I remember, Bud said that the defensive line lost contain, and it allowed Ryan to go "Happy Feet" and find his target, which was an incredibly lucky shot into the end zone.

The funny thing was, everybody was saying Boston College had the best offensive line, protecting Matt Ryan until Chris Ellis and his boys smacked the Eagles around silly. One of his best games, IIRC, but it was a gut-punch loss. Unfortunately, Glennon couldn't muster a game winning drive after the touchdown pass from Ryan.

One memory I have from that game is Matt Ryan puking on the field after his touchdown pass.

I support Logan Thomas and make no apologies for it.

Florida definitely sounds right but I think it was Jacksonville? Maybe? Mmm still not sure.

Yeah pretty sure it was Tampa. Living in Jacksonville i get confused since i went to all of those of course, you could even get free tickets since they never sold out! I had a great view of Marcus Vick stomping that dude's leg one year. I really miss them being in Jax but Charlotte makes much more sense geographically for the ACC as a whole.

Wasn't that our bowl game vs. Louisville?

Best duos in Hokie history: Hall & Adibi, 3rd & Tyrod, Georgia & Liz

Yes, and it was Elvis Dumerville from Louisville.

Take the shortest route to the ball and arrive in bad humor.

Yeah you're right it was the Gator Bowl, forgot which game in Jax that was!

Right here BC...

#FUCKBC?? Why yes please!

DFWTF...DON'T FUCK WITH THE FULLERS

I hate them because of Matt Ryan and his #$% $@#& last second corner route passing.
I hate them because they are our next opponent.
I hate them because Luke Kuechly won so many awards.
I hate them because Nate Freese is 7/7.
I hate them because - Boston.

I especially hate them because the usurpers wear Maroon. What the heck colors am I supposed to wear? I'm NOT wearing Orange!

This is going to be great for the ACC.

I hate them because BC fans don't live up to the reputation of the university. Or so I've heard. Never been there myself

I was at the game last year, in the student section in one of the endzones, and got yelled at for standing up.

Yeah, BC fans suck.

i was in the south end zone. i saw the ball in the air and rb wheeling around to the back of the end zone with no one even looking at him. i sat down and put my head in my hands before the catch was made and heard the air come out of the stadium. i looked to my right and saw the small bc section losing their shit. it was a quiet walk back to my truck. then i almost ran my wife over, it was a rough night.

Was it a rough night because you almost ran your wife over? Or did you almost run your wife over because it was a rough night?

Just for the sake of clarity.

it added to the roughness. we had been arguing in the stands because she wanted to leave at halftime, but she was a trooper. the near vehicular manslaughter was just one thing in a cascade of events that happened that day/night.

That was the one game my training company got to sit near the front row (I think we were second row) and I just remember pointing at the guy wide open and seeing the ball go right over Orion Martin's hands with Adibi not far behind. (Orion was a DE so if he was back there, no way you can't say it wasn't prevent D). That was the most awkward and depressing walk back to the dorms ever. I remember going to squires and then class the next morning and thinking of how quite the campus was.

Confession: I don't hate BC.
I remember watching the BC/Miami game live and seeing the Flutie to Phelan miracle pass tear the swagger (I HATE that term) out of Miami. So....plus one for BC.

And when Matty ICE beat us, we quickly got redemption in the ACC Championship which was sweet. (Hey Matt! You got bested by Sean!) Honestly, how rare is it for redemption to come so quickly and so sweetly?

This success for BC swelled coach Jagodzinski's head so much that he set upon an ill-advised egomaniacal misadventure that eventually landed him as the wide receivers coach at Ave Maria University. (Yes, THAT happened!) So props to the Monks (or whatever) at BC for canning his ass.
To all others: BE WARNED! Don't dance on the Hokies! (Dabo......it's coming!)

Also, BC routinely has the funniest-named football players this side of Key and Peele. (Jarrett Darmstatter, for real?! FOE-rensics will be awesome this week.)

So, I'm not feelin' the hate so much this week.

I am not a fan of Jesuits. Fuck Boston College.

Five star get after it 100 percent Juice Key-Playing. MAN

Neither is he...

I support Logan Thomas and make no apologies for it.

I will always hate bc after the 2007 game. I will always remember standing in the nez after the game in shock. It was great revenge the acc title game that year and the next. any time we play bc I want to stomp them

tyrod did it mikey! tyrod did it!

This is almost all BC fans ever known to exist. The other 2 were in the bathroom

21st century QBs Undefeated vs UVA:
MV7, MV5, LT3, Grant Wells, Braxton Burmeister, Ryan Willis, Josh Jackson, Jerod Evans, Michael Brewer, Tyrod Taylor, Sean Glennon, and Grant Noel. That's right, UVA. You couldn't beat Grant Noel.

At least those that do have a lot of passion. I mean look at that girl in the middle! I bet she'll be hoarse tomorrow!!

It was a catch

As long as I have been a Hokie (not very long), BC has been terrible at football so I have no ill will towards them :(

Whippersnapper.

I remember going up to Boston in 2006 and getting heartbroken. That's okay. I have no real beef against Boston. They're just a team. It sucks that they scored all these points late in the fourth quarter though.

I remember standing in the rain in 2007 and getting heartbroken. This is not okay. I have beef against Boston. They're the team who did this to us last year. It sucks they scored all these points late in the fourth quarter.

Ever since, the mention of the name Boston involves thinking of that 2007 game and the pain. I am going to make a framed needlepoint that just says 2007.

It's always a good day when BC loses..I'll never forget the Hokie defense just destroy the BC Oline until Matt started dropping bombs. The top 5 hardest loses for me look like this:

1) 99 FSU
2) 98 Syracuse
3) 07 BC
4) 11 Michigan
5) 98 Temple

The worst part of all those loses is that the Hokies should have won all of them.

Touchdown Tech - Bill Roth

Don't forget 98 UVA and oh god that Syracuse loss was so freaking horrible.

Ill never forget that cold rainy night. I remember when Royal scored, the place went ballistic. Then we had our hearts ripped out by he that can never be forgiven. I remember waking up the next morning, seeing the rain and deciding that class would just have to go on without me. I hate Boston College.

Whadya mean I can't take off my sweater? I'm HOT!
