Tech led 33-24 at the half and then was ice cold in the second half. Magarity was called for her 4th foul with 7 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter and Tech up 53-52. She left the for 2 minutes and then got her 5th foul within 40 seconds of returning to the game. The score was still tied at 55 when she left. From that point Clemson did not miss from the field making 1 3pt and 4 layups. They also made 7 free throw while missing 2. Tech made 3 2pt field goals and 1 free throw, while missing 1 FG and 5 3pt shots.
Clemson is a very beatable team for the Hokies. They don't even need an outstanding game in my opinion. If they play like they did today, it might be a blow out. If they have a average game, they should still win comfortably. It would be great if Mabry finds her shot tomorrow and everyone else plays the way they did today.
I think it is likely that Emery returns to closer to her average shooting percentage and Baptiste returns to her typical game; but Mabry comes back to form and Magarity has her regular game without fouling out. Tech wins by 6-10 points.

Game is on a neutral court this time and the team seems to be playing better than their early season ACC run. Louisville is a monster with natty potential so the run likely ends here either way, but winning is always the best.
We kept it close against Louisville in Blacksburg so maybe we have some hope (score was 66-63 with :34 left in the game). Certainly would have been ideal to line up with NC State or Miami in the quarters instead of Louisville or Notre Dame though.
What are the chances the Lady Hokies make the tournament at this point? Would it require a win over both Clemson and Louisville?

Overtime has not been kind to Hokie basketball this week
I'm so effin' tired of seeing our Hokies getting screwed by absolutely terrible missed calls by the refs. If the guy calls one of the 3 fouls when Clemson was hacking Babtiste on the rebound, the double technical doesn't happen and we're shooting foul shots. Apparently if you are Clemson, you can wrap your arms around the rebounder from behind and not get called. No wonder Babtiste got into the scuffle. Then they call her for a phantom foul on the baseline to give Clemson free throws. Even Debbie Antonelli called out the ref for not being in position to make that call. Clemson mugged us on rebounds by reaching and slapping all night and only got called for it a few times. That's not good defense, that is just hacking thug ball.
