yeah, that's going down route 8, 57 to Martinsville, 58 to Danville, then 86 to durham. I don't think they will travel that way. interstates make it about 200.

Just over $300 for Friday, add fees and you're probably looking at $350-$400 per person. Looked into buying on Friday, but even then they were $250. Hoping my office randomly shows up and is like "Hey, just happen to have box seats at Capital One, anyone want to go for the S16?

Lack of prep for this bugs me in college athletics (in general, not at VT in particular). I mean, every freshman has to take public speaking at every college in america. Hand out some tutors/special assignments for that nonsense. We do for all the other courses to keep the grades up.

I am not sure if the Sweet 16 is run the same way, but the last time I attended one in 1997 ( at the San Jose Arena, now the SAP Center where the Hokies played), most of the people who came for the first game stayed around for the second game. Since the Hokies play in the nightcap, and traditionally Duke is not a crowd favorite (though less of a villain than when ALL 50:50 calls went Duke's way and then some), I suspect that this will feel like a home game for VT or as the announcers said VA Tech.

If I'm Duke I'm not scared because I have Zion and through him all things are possible, but I am a little concerned. VT isn't afraid of Duke at all due to seeing them every and beating them recently (at home, but still). This is the biggest game in recent history for VT and there's likely going to be a whole lot of VT alums who live in NoVA making the trip.
