I know this was discussed in other threads, thought it warranted it's own thread though, since a lot of us wanted him to be a potential replacement. This turns the argument I think on it's head that TA&M should wait until the offseason to sign Buzz. Whit just lost out on a big fish, partly, due to Alabama moving quickly.
I would be bummed if we lost to Duke, but the only light at the end of the tunnel, is all the Buzz-Aggie rumors would be done and we could get a clear answer finally, and move forward accordingly. I was really hoping Whit had a clear cut answer from Buzz, and that he had Oats waiting in the wings. So much for that.

I was an Oats fan for sure, but no way to know that he was tops on Buzz's list. Currently bummed and no inside info, but lets wait this out and see if Whit has something up his sleeve (I swear to God if it's Mick Cronin I'll lose my ever fucking mind)
Pretty bold of Buzz, to have his own list of coaches to replace him at Tech when he leaves...
He wrote his contract, he might have put in that he get ms to choose his successor, I dont know I dont read things.
If it's true that Whit's already vetting candidates, and allow for the possibility that Buzz has already told him he's gone, I have to think someone is lined up and it isn't someone we see getting hired elsewhere during our tournament run.
