Thought I'd try a little something here and see of it works...many of us aren't in the VA/DC area and may not know of much of a Hokie community to meet up with for games.
So here goes...name your city/area if not already named, and otherwise reply to the person who named your city/area if you're looking to find a group to watch the VT-Duke game with. I'll go first.

Dallas (specifically Frisco area)
the DFW VT alumni association usually meets at either Capital Pub on Henderson or Dubliner Pub on Greenville for football games. I am not on Facebook so I never know where or even if they are meeting for a watch party but run into them since I do frequent both of those Pubs as they are in my neighborhood.
As for Frisco I have no idea.
Good to know but I'm not on Facebook either! I'm not beyond driving to the city for a group to watch with, although the idea of having some beer and then driving up 75 feels like really putting my life at risk.
They are having a watch party at Capitol Pub on Henderson. Link here if you can access without joining Facebook.

Raleigh/Triangle
Planning on going to Leesville Taproom to watch with the Triangle Hokie Club. Would be fun to meetup with some of you guys.
I'll be at Players Retreat
How is that for VT games? Are there any other Hokies there?
I bet he goes there to rile up the NCSU fans.
That's exactly why, it was a treat to watch the 47-24 game there.
It was even more fun watching it surrounded by State fans at PNC.
Good to know, we'll see you there!
Only thing to remember. Every 3 made by Tech is a communal drink. Yes, that includes a FT after a made basket.
Thanks for the heads up! I've been to a few of the football watch parties over there, but this will be my first time joining for basketball.
Its been more informal meetups during the basketball season, but their manager makes sure to put VT on the main screen if we are playing, regardless on whether or not someone is there. They're good to us in there
Danny Coale is My Spirit Animal and I
are still debating whether we want to go to the Taproom or just watch from home since I have to get up at the ass crack of dawn on Saturday to drive to Virginia for a wedding thing for one of my sisters. Late game + it's a thirty minute drive to get out there, so we're still on the fence.will be at the Leesville Taproom.Word! If you see a tall white guy in a (new 2018 design) Tyrod jersey, come say hi.
One of us will have a TKP hat on, I'm sure. My dog ate my Quit Cussin' shirt (RIP), but we'll probably have the same shirts we wore on Sunday. Because we're not superstitious or anything.
We're checking in from Leesville Tap. I'm in a 12 hoops jersey and Flippin is in a white "Virginia Tech Basketball Never Stops" shirt beside the wall of TVs in the seated dining area. Feel free to stop by and say Hi.
If you are in the main dining, go to the room next to the bar. We will have a good crowd in there. I'm headed over in a couple minutes as my kid finally went to sleep so my wife can dismiss me for the game. π
I just pulled up. Will come say hi!
It was nice meeting you guys! We should do a Raleigh TKP meet up sometime soon.

Rosie O'Grady's in Ferndale. I will not be there, though.
Surprised no one is watching in Living Room, MY.
Columbia SC
Drive down to The Brick in Charleston...celebrate on King St. afterward.
I'm in Charleston quite I bit usually fishing if you see a white Chevy with VT stickers towing a blue boat around that's probably me. I will not be there on Friday.
Fun fact, the Brick is owned by a Hokie.
The Brick also serves Rails on top of all that.
We are driving down to Charleston tomorrow. I'll have to swing by the Brick to celebrate and watch us beat up on LSU Sunday.
If I'm ever in Charleston I will feel obligated to seek out The Brick and get a Rail. Just to see if a Rail in another state has the same sweet taste of kerosene and cranberry juice.
Edit: is your handle referencing Grundy, VA?
I'll be watching from my living room (edit: in Columbia, SC). My neighbor, shockingly also a Hokie, claims to be somehow affiliated with a local Hokie club/alumni group, the existence of which I have not confirmed.
Candidly I've only spoken to her once and I had been drinking beers mowing the yard so my recall on that conversation could be fuzzy.
Yeah I'm in NE Cola, probably end up at Top Dawg with my LSU friend watch both games, can't go too far or I won't be able to make it back home.
I can confirm this group exists - they have a Facebook group and are also updating columbiahokies.com. I was a part of them when I lived in Cola. They have plans to watch the game at Henry's on Devine.
Thanks for this!
I will not be around this weekend, but been in Columbia (first NE and now Irmo specifically) two years now and have not found any sort of alumni network!
I'm not in Cola anymore, but they do exist - there's a Facebook group and info on columbiahokies.com
Capital One Arena
Heard there will be a watch group there, probably from both teams. Teams might also be there.
Be wary, the cover charge is fucking high to get in that night.
Legs to all of you.
Richmond, VA
Home Team will be super packed out, On the Rox does a game watching event, but honestly any place with a tv should be able to get it on for you if you ask and it's not already playing.
Winston-Salem/Greensboro, NC
Wait, there's a game tonight?
The Indianapolis watch party is at The Tap on the south end of Mass Ave.
In my living room, with the kids, because my wife is out of town this weekend.
/sigh
Same here, with wife out of town and me and the 3 kids. I told my wife, if we get through this weekend, I'm going to Minneapolis, come hell or high water.
Charlotte, NC at Blackfinn in the Epicentre!
Wish I could go tomorrow night. Maybe I can make it on Sunday!
New York, NY - proactively letting you know we'll be at Deweys Pub at 135 W 30th St (btwn 6th/7th Aves), more info here.
Also, worth checking the Alumni Chapters NCAA watch parties page.
No viewing party in the 757? :(
House, Hokie. Virginia.
New Orleans, Down the Hatch will have a watch party
VT NCAA Watch Parties

Nashville Hokies are at Double Dogs in Hillsboro Village!
SO wish I could be there. Wife is out of town this weekend, leaving me with the 3 rugrats. I'll be en la casa de Brentwood.
Wichita, KS
Greenville, SC - Carolina Ale House on Woodruff Rd.
OBX
Atlanta, GA
I'd love to know where the group will head since I recent moved here (EAV)
Welcome to town! EAV is awesome. Unfortunately, most of the VT alumni stuff is based OTP. It really annoys me that my Tennessee and Clemson friends have alumni gatherings inside the city, and I have to get an uber to some dive bar in Sandy Spring or Marrietta, but I digress... I know there's a watch party in Dunwoody/Sandy Springs if you're willing to make the drive.
Philadelphia, The Field House.
Many people head there? I saw on the alumni site they reserve a couple tables. I was thinking about heading there tonight. Worth the walk?
They had about 20 people last Friday. I'm in grad school, and last Friday I had a bunch of homework to get done, but I will be headed there tonight.
I help run the football watch parties at MilkBoy and we get some big crowds for big games. I am sure tonight will be like that.
Word. good looks, thanks for the info man! I'll probably head down there tonight then. GO HOKIES!!
Santa Monica, CA
Jackson's in downtown Denver!
Trinidad, CO?
(spoiler alert, it's my house because Mrs. Lwyr doesn't let me go outside for big games anymore)
Just heard that wasknick's brothers and fellow Lot 18 partiers Chris and Steven were interviewed by CBS news while walking around DC repping their VT colors on their way to the game. Probably show up on the late afternoon broadcast (Richmond/DC stations). Be loud and proud at the game boys!!!
haha. Holy shit that's great!
won't be there unfortunately, but if any of you guys are in San Francisco, I think a group of Hokies will be going to Bus Stop in the Marina district.
