But what does a hamstring have to do with catching passes with your hands?
It has to do with him not getting the practice time and getting the reps he needed to learn the blocking schemes, routes to run, etc. Hopefully he can contribute the rest of the year, but realistically he just needs to get healthy so he can contribute next year.

I know that Logan probably gives us the best shot to win, but at which point does playing this badly warrant a trip to the bench to think about how you're playing.
not sure which loss sucked more. this or Duke. I do know that as much as I was so delightfully surprised by this team in the first half of the season, the second half has essentially been the polar opposite. well, Miami is a must win for conference and UVA is just a MUST win.
Duke, because everyone was at least mentally prepared for this loss.

He makes it so hard for me to defend him, and today I won't--7 points and the game came from him alone. 3 points from DK and 7 points from the Oline not protecting. That being said, i feel bad too--meyer couldn't catch the ball if it was covered in tar...I wish him the best in the future--this one wasn't all his fault.....

I put this loss on the offensive line. No way does Logan turn the ball over 4 times if he isn't hit or hurried so often
I agree their play wasn't great. But a couple of plays, including the pick 6 he can just take the sack.
This is the first time I have ever said this, but it is time to move on from Logan...it is time to bench him. His potential is ridiculous, but potential does not give you shit.

Sad part(as far as ACC goes anyways) when FSU wins tonight, we still have a chance of 1st place with a win at Miami. I know, after these last two weeks, you'll hear "we don't even deserve to win the division or be in the ACCCG or something along those lines." That isn't the point. Point is, you play to win the game and get as far as you can. Right now, I will gladly take 9-3 with a ACC title game appearance with a shot at FSU to steal their spotlight.
Exactly crazier things have happened like us winning the coastal in 08 with 4 losses 3 being ACC Champs.
I understand that Logan is an amazing talent, and probably the best option that we have to win a game. I also don't believe that Leal is better than Logan. But Logan is playing poorly making bad decisions. Who knows what kinda decisions that Leal would have made. There has got to be a point where you are not doing your job and even just to foster competition and try to bring the best out of someone that you give Leal a shot. Maybe Leal doesn't make the decision to throw it in the middle of the field falling backwards. Who knows, on talent Logan will win every time but these past to games you have to question his decision making and if you can trust him to make the right decision.
Clearly logans best is better than leals best, but the way logan is playing I think there is an acceptable level of risk to try leal at some point
If we lose to miami and LT doesn't look any better- then sure...but just keep in mind, Leal is playing with the same level of surrounding talent that LT is so if he sucks too--that doesn't mean Leal is bad.
This is what happens when you recruit TEs and turn them into OTs. The new coaches are not cleaning up a mess from the previous staff they are trying to contain a nuclear holocaust caused by Ocain, Newsome, and Sherman. If the old staff were still in place I believe we would be about 2-7 right now. After dialing back my expectations and looking at last season 6-3 is not to bad.

I've been calling to Logan to be benched for weeks. It's not a knock on him. It's on the coaches. They should not be leaving him in games when he's is so off. It's only going to get worse. Next weeks he's going to come out and try to score every time he touches the ball. He's clearly pressing and his confidence is shot. It's spilling over to the rest of the team. Receivers are trying too hard to catch the ball (instead of just catching), RBs are trying to make every run a homer, D is trying to be super human (causing missed assignments and poor tackling).
Just take Logan out for a few series. Let Leal be a game manager. Maybe good things will happen. Maybe Logan will reset his brain. Maybe it will be a shit show. They only thing I know is if they leave him like this his draft stock will completely disappear.
Frank preaches loyalty. His loyalty should be to the entire team, fans and his bosses (alums who pay his salary). When you're loyal to one player is causes too many problems.
(I realize this is probably Loefler's call...but Frank has to make it if he won't).
