and Miami should have been a home game for us this year!

Hopefully the Hokie fans that make the trip bring the same spirit.

Hopefully the team and logan bring their A game

Logan Thomas bring his "A" game? Believe it when I see it.

Yea im not even sure he has an A game. His B game should be good enough to win tho.

Fortune Favors the Bold

Downvote all you want. I've seen 8 turnovers the past 2 games and 33 the past 2 seasons. I have to see his "A" game to believe it. If that makes me a bad fan then so be it. I'm not a kool-aid drinker. I want results. Not false hope.

I'm a redskins fan, have been my whole life. I know what it means to be realistic about a team that may not be very good and has not performed well recently. Doesn't mean you can't still hope for and want the best for your team the next week.

There's always a lighthouse. There's always a man. There's always a city.

I motion to bring in good karma for this game against Miami. I hate the negativity that's been pervasive for the past eight days. We may have lost 2 in a row, but we're still 6-3, we still have a good chance of a 10-win season and repping the Costal in the ACC Championship. We're doing pretty damn well in a "rebuilding season".

Do you remember this?

Or This?

Or This?

Let's fucking go. Six days until the game of the season.

My man BillDozerVT, I know you're plate is pretty full with being a boss and the constant maintenance of having giant balls but if you can put together the Miami hype video that we all need right now, I'll forever be indebted to you. By forever be indebted, of course I mean I will buy you and your compatriots a round of rails if we ever cross paths at TOTS.

Already have something in mind. It will be the video we need, but not the video we deserve.

This got me so pumped. LET'S GO HOKIES!

The 2009 game was one of my favorites while at Tech. I think we're due for another!

I love this post, and you're absolutely right. If everyone thinks back to preseason expectations, I think 6-3 is right where we thought we'd be. The question would have been whether any of those 3 losses would be to teams where the tie-breaker kills our division hopes (GT, Pitt, UNC, Miami). BC is in the Atlantic, Duke is gonna lose 1-2 more conference games, so thankfully the answer is no.

We have the ability to beat a Miami team without Duke Johnson, it just comes down to turnovers. Keep the faith, support this team, and hopefully we'll all be singing a different song 7 days from now.

Ahhh, I remember both of those. The 2011 Miami game was one of 3 games I came back to b'burg for. And the 2009 Miami game in the "hurricane" was a great one! I reminisce at the thought of what it would be like having Tyrod as a QB and talented running backs again.

At the beginning of the season, many of us figured this would be the game that defined the season. Guess what? It still is. I hope our guys know that and show up to play. After two very disappointing weeks, there's a lot to prove.

"Exit light..."

Time to sack up and get behind our guys! I haven't seen any quit in this team, they've been grinding all year. Maybe it's time the more positive members of Hokie Nation become more vocal, and drown out the naysayers.

I for one can't wait till 7pm next saturday.
Go Hokies, beat Miami!

Spenge the Man. Go Hokies!

Give it to me, Roscoe.

Here's part 2. Insert #'s 34, 11, 1, 17, or 31 as the takeaway.

I want this. Badly. You owe us, Hokies.

If we can get an early lead forcing them to throw the ball, and Logan throws less than 2 picks, then we win. If the game is in Morris's hands he'll hand it to us.

I agree with you there. The 6 we won we scored first and let our defense do it's thing. In the past 2 we haven't scored first and as we've seen this offense is not going to win it from behind. If we minimize the mistakes and focus on the little things, we will beat Miami. We have to capitalize on those first drives.

I'm pretty sure marshall and ecu scored first

Onward and upward

ECU did (great opening drive) , but we scored off the blocked punt first against Marshall.

Thanks for the correction, I missed the first part of ECU and was too lazy to check.

I'm expecting to see a pissed off and determined Hokie team. This game is going to be a gut it out kind of game that could come down to the last possession. GO HOKIES!

That strip from Hall is my favorite play ever from a Tech player. Lane Stadium was electric when it happened.

"Parrish at the 30….and…the ball came loose! Taken away by DeAngelo Hall, and he..will…score!"

My dad always tell me that the most electric Lane has ever been that he has witnessed was the 99 Miami game after they went up 10-0. Beamerball at its finest.

The greatest Miami moment I can remember came on a 4th and 1 from the 19...

Overall, the happiest I've ever been in an early game was against Clemson when Macho went off on special teams. We came out real aggressive that game.

My favorite Miami moment was easily the 2009 game. I started the day off with getting a new puppy and all I remember from that game was the dog peeing in the house numerous times during the game because I was so fired up. Around 2 years later, I got another new dog on another rainy day in Blacksburg. The result of this game wasn't as pleasant as the first, haha.

I'm excited, but it feels like

It's going to be a bounce back week. I can feel it.

7? PM?

woot

I'm so freaking amped. I want a beat down of 2009 proportions. UM talking trash, then getting their tails handed to them for 60 minutes.

What's past is past. Let's get this W!

There's always a lighthouse. There's always a man. There's always a city.

Hell yeah, Hokies return to primetime baby! Let's get this W, I'll be in that half empty stadium to see it.

Time to bitch slap the canes! I love all the positive responses I'm seeing from this thread and all the youtube vids of previous Hokie triumphs over Da U, its just what we needed after the past 2 weeks.

Shouldn't the Maryland game be announced today?

Rip his freaking head off!

It's Monday afternoon and I can barely sit in my office chair. I am so amped/hyper for this game, I have a good feeling this week at practice will be crazy. If there was a time for ALL Maroon Everything its this Saturday night at 7pm. We need a huge spark or something to lift the spirits up. I wouldn't be surprised if they had this game circled on the schedule for ALL Maroon. Its the biggest game for us in the ACC every year and with Miami most likely wearing white why not let it all fly out.

Josh Stanford looked like a beast over the middle and DJ looked pretty good as well. At this point I think we need to put our play-makers on the field and go for it. Lets put Mangus, JC and Edmunds on the field all at once and watch what happens. Lets be creative screen plays worked well this past weekend, give Logan some easy throws early and we could be in for a great one.

Think about this... 1 play changed the whole game. Logan's Pick 6, if he hadn't gone back to Bad Logan than things would probably have gone different. Lets get behind our team and show them how loud we can be at Miami and come out of the game with a huge W.

You got me pumped up.

I'm tired of the doom and gloom. Tired of the whining. Tired of hearing FANS complain about kids who are playing hard. Tired of hearing about fans complaining.

Bottom line is this: We CAN win this game. We can erase the mistakes of the past 2 weeks. Let's get behind this team.

Since I will be at a wedding this weekend, missing VT/Miami and Alabama/LSU, I'm getting hyped for Thursday night's Baylor/Oklahoma and Stanford/Oregon

That's what a cell phone is for :)

I'm headed to a wedding too.. some amazing games on Thursday along with the Redskins playing that night as well

Oh shit I might have to borrow a third tv. Totally forgot about my Redskins

I blame Miami for our recent struggles, and feel we need to hold them accountable Saturday.

I got a feeling that the D is going to come out and play on a different level on Saturday. I'm a feeling a Hokie win.

Miami is without their best WR and now just recently without their best player overall in Duke Johnson. Think it's going to be hard for Miami mentally coming down from the national spotlight against FSU to now playing a VT team that the national media is saying they should walk over. Feels like Miami fans are already talking about a rematch against FSU in the ACCCG. I could see Miami come out flat against VT.

LT had his best game ever against Miami in 2011 bouncing back from his worst game of his rookie season against Clemson. Hoping LT has a great bounce back game limiting turnovers.

I'm hoping for the hangover effect for Miami. Oh shit, we have one, too. I hate having the Boston and Miami trips in back to back weeks, that is a lot of mileage.

Doesn't the team fly to those games? If so, I imagine its only 2ish hours flight, no big deal. The real effect will be climate change from Blacksbrrrrrrgg to tropical Coral Gables. I remember flying down with the band in '08 for the acc championship in tampa and again for the orange bowl a few weeks later. Left Bburg with wind chill in the teens and stepped off the plane in florida fully bundled up to upper 80's temp. It was quite the experience and can mess with your sinuses.

He's no good to me dead.

I Live in Florida and will be coming for the game, weather should not be an issue its been in the low 60-70's at night and being in Miami there could be a little more wind. Bring a light jacket just in case and GO HOKIES!!!!!!!

BOOM, Da U won't have much swag for this game since we lost to DOOK and BC-powered puff and Da U blow us out..hope they come into the game thinking it will be a cakewalk.
