Oof. Remember (perhaps, dare I say pre-Logan) where we were the team known for not dominating the end of game statsheet, but find ways to win? We're the opposite now.

UNC actually outgained us this year by 35 yards. But I get your point.
Ah, no kidding. Didn't know that.
I'd rather just dominate both on the stat sheet and the scoreboard...
I want the Hokies to dominate the stat sheet, go to your house and eat your food, have sex with your wife, AND win the game.
I don't have a house or a wife, so you'll have to wait
Sorry, Rocket. "You" in my comment was the metaphorical, collective "you" that comprises all of the Hokies' opponents.
Your future house, future food, and future wife are safe...unless you plan on inviting me over. (Giggidy!)
hilarious sarcasm always gets an upvote
I think about that every time this year when Logan breaks another school record. How can you break all of these records in total offense, passes, passing yardage, etc. and still have such a pedestrian offensive output? It's frustrating to say the least.
well not having a running game for the last couple of years has contributed to both his ability to break those records (playing from behind begets good passing yardage numbers) and our pedestrian offensive output (points..I'm assuming you mean points..because as somebody else pointed out on another thread we've outgained all of our opponents this year except UNC) because we can get into the red zone and then we stall...you HAVE to be able to run the ball in the red zone..and we've struggled mightily with that
Well said. Logan has a ton of records because for the last two years, he has basically been asked to carry the offense entirely. Tyrod would have had more records if he didn't have years of good RBs supporting him (RMFW, DEvans, DW4) who were outstanding in their own right. LT3 has to throw it around a lot more because of the lack of a running game, and then run it himself...because of the lack of a running game. We don't always win, but that man is busting his ass for us and busting some records in the process. I don't think I have ever seen a VT QB who has been asked to do more.
Yeah, that's interesting..getting yardage obviously isn't as important as scoring. The ball control offense tends to get yardage b/c that's the focus and scoring when the opportunity presents itself is the secondary goal on offense. Oh we are in scoring position, now what do we do as the field gets smaller and the everything is closer to the line of scrimmage.
