You know what, I like LT standing up for himself, and not just the players/coaches supporting him. That's the confidence and response I'd want out of a VT quarterback who's going through some adversity.

The defense played perhaps their worst game of the season. BC just imposed their will on us. We only registered TWO Tackles for Loss, and our defense didn't get their hands on the ball at all. http://www.hokiesports.com/football/stats/showstats.html?15563

The coaches should also be supportive, but some of these comments bury Leal. This team can't win without being able to run the read option? Leal may be the starter next season, with pretty much the same cast of players. It isn't exactly a ringing endorsement by the staff for his ability to win football games.

Ya they basically threw Leal under the bus. I wasn't happy at all about that. I read on twitter that beamer said they need the qb to run for us to win. Im ok with running, but it does us no good to run logan 20 times a game. Its stupid. They need to fit the system to the personnel they have. Read option is crap and I want it out of the play book after this yr

I can't stand all the Leal Fanboys, you really think if Leal was better he wouldn't be playing. Lets think about this for a moment. Do you know how hard it is to have 1 QB learn a new system with just Spring ball, heck lets throw in 2 QB's. People don't understand what goes into learning a playbook. I wouldn't be surprised if leal only knew about 30-40% of the plays. This Spring was mainly for Logan and the offense to figure out the playbook and see what works well.
We have to remember these are "Student Athlete's out there, its not like they can spend 24hrs a day to study a brand new playbook. I am fine with the way we have been playing lately. Yes the running game is spinning its wheels but just wait for that one game where things start to click.
On another note it seemed to me like I saw a couple plays that loeffler ran against BC that we have yet to see. Like the RB screen, the Deep post route's over the middle and also the PA play to Kalvin Cline. I'm sure he noted those and we will be seeing them in Miami!
