I would like to thank Wofford and my teammates for two of the best years of my life. After talking with my family and considering all the options, I have decided to attend Virginia Tech. At VT I have found the best academic opportunities and an outstanding coaching staff. pic.twitter.com/XsWpCIlFha— Keve Aluma (@AlumaKeve) May 5, 2019
Aluma averaged 6.9 points and 6.8 rebounds this past season but he was widely regarded as Wofford's best defensive player. Likely a sit one, play two situation. Big pickup.

Listed at 6' 9" 229 lbs. Good to add some size.
6'9"?

The bigger story might be that he's wearing Blackshear's number in the picture....
The jersey has the grad cap emblem so I wonder if that's actually Blackshear's jersey itself lol.
Regardless, I think we all know KJ is most likely gone
LET ME DREAM!!
That was his number at Wofford but I think KBJ is gone also
He has to sit one year, so Blackshear will be gone by the time he needs that jersey.
Might be the only jersey the department has that fits him
Is he allowed to get an eligibility waiver?
The NCAA doesn't seem to treat coaching changes in basketball the same way as football, so probably not.
But the NCAA continues to make no sense, so who tf knows.
If we don't get any 2019 signees, maybe we can play the card UNCheat used to get out of all their suspensions by citing player safety concerns with players playing too many minutes.
He's going to stick out in the team photos!
His addition to the program will certainly be 'Aluma'nating
Alluminati confirmed.
Shit, they're onto me
Wrong thread :-(
Had interest from Arkansas, Nevada, VCU, Houston, URI, Oklahoma State and NC State
During the tournament, this kid definitely stood out on that Wofford team. I think he will settle in and be a quality ACC player.
Good size, nice production on the boards (also had 31 blocks), knows Mike Young's system. What's not to like?
I'm starting to feel better and better about this team. I realize 2019-2020 may still be a bit of a struggle (and may have been anyway even if Buzz had stayed). But I think we'll be competitive as early as 2020-2021.
Good on Keve. Got to see him play several times in high school. He's slimmed down/got in shape since then...but he had pretty good feet and defensive vision in high school. Kid has some drive and has a great family so should be a good fit.
And his brother is practically as tall as him now as a sophomore in high school...maybe a two-fer?
so, I gotta ask, is it pronounced, "Kevin?
Dumbfounded it took 22 comments to get here.
