CJ Barksdale was suspended for 3 games. He'll be back for the VMI game. The hits just keep on coming, not looking too good this year.

Can he seal the edge? We may as we'll take all those post players and see if they can play TE. Playing on the hoops team won't be particularly fruitful for many years.
I don't think this year can possibly be as bad as everyone is saying. Holding out hope that maybe the Ewing effect will take place and the guys will be forced to be better since they lost Green.
There's a part of me that's optimistic that, with Green gone, they'll play better as a team instead of conceding to him as the star and forcing everything to him, which obviously didn't work sometimes.
Then there's the other part of me that sees the same awful team from last year minus the top scorer in college basketball.
bottom 5 all time worst acc team, as bad as the wake team from a couple years back, prolly worse.
I really really hope that this team does well but I think that it's going to be tough.
I'm surprised it took this long to come out. He has been getting less reps because they already knew a suspension was coming. I've heard West Virginia is even worse than us this year, so he isn't really missing anything significant. Hopefully he comes back a better player this year though as him and Cadarian will probably be the focal points besides Adam Smith.
Remember folks, Saturday is a triple header in Cassell. Come out and support Men's and Women's Basketball as well as the Volleyball team.
I might be the only person who thinks this, but I think that VT will surprise some and I think they will end up with a better record than what people thinks. If all the players can buy into the system that JJ has in place there's no reason why this team could be a top 10 team in the ACC at least. I look at teams like VCU that is in a much less competitive conference, but Shaka finds a way to get those kids to buy into the program that he has at VCU. He's a great young coach, but JJ is just trying to get the players to fit his style of play. And this is my opinion, I'm not a X's and O's guy when it comes to football like French, but basketball is my thing!
