Palpatine's machinations in the prequels, made them far more tolerable.
The prequels aren't bad if you realize that is the entire story. The problem is that the plot is too deep for your average ten year old so we got pod racing and jar jar binks thrown in along with a gross, sandy love story.
Like 99% percent of people think the phantom menace refers to Darth Maul since he's a spooky boi, not realizing it's actually referencing Palpatine's Sith Lordiness flying under the Jedi radar. I think windu even references it before he's yeeted out the window.
Does that mean Mike Young is about to build an empire while flying under the radar of the, to this point, dominant Jedi Order of the ACC?
Translation, the prequels aren't bad if you happen to be watching a different movie than is being shown on screen. The prequels are bad movies with a very few interesting bits mixed in and some good music.
I liked Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith when Anakin wasn't whining....Count Dooku was a baaaad man..
I believe what he meant was that the prequels arent bad if you just think about what could have been using the plot points you liked and ignored the acting, and basically the entire implementation of all plots.
Lucas is a history buff. The story of the Emperor taking over the galactic universe is the almost exactly the same as how Hitler took over Germany.

Okay I get the reference (underrated movie IMO), but not the context.
Honestly, my favorite Will Ferrell movie.
The running gags in that movie are great: the wooden gun that the bad guys keep returning (polished), the fact that Michael Keaton works at Bed Bath & Beyond as a 2nd job, and Mark Walhberg's amazing talents that he masters just to put elitists in their place.
It's amazing that I didn't even know this movie existed until 2-3 years ago.

I think this is Young's first true recruit (other than a Wofford flip). Hope he turns out as a career as solid as Buzz's first commit (JRob).

I will admit that I was underwhelmed by the CMY hire, but this is eye-opening. Nice job coach!
You simply don't succeed at a mid-major like CMY without good X's and O's. I never questioned that aspect of his coaching but did question recruiting. This is very promising.

Nice videos. Kid can score and has a quick release. He doesn't play much defense on these videos. I think that is probably directed by his coach as he is their offense (no one else on the team comes close) so he cannot foul out. He will learn defense in college, especially the ACC.

He's got more help than just about any other student. Lots of resources are available and people (coaches) forcing those resources on you. Many athletes have had kids while in college, we've had some, This past season Will Grier was probably the biggest name in college football with a kid.
I didn't bring it up as a negative. I know there have been many college players with children. I'm just saying he is a junior in high school and has a kid. He still has to finish his high school classes before he even gets to take on the college life. That has to be tough regardless.
So, this means we're still a basketball school, right?
