So I guess they didn't take the UNC route?

What's ours?

What's the national average? (Or mean, or median, or whatever the relevant statistic is? NOT a maths guy ha)

Don't get me wrong - I love clowning the Wronghorns. But some context could help me hone my shit-talk (one of my best buddies is a UT grad and never shuts up about it.)

the numbers don’t lie and they spell disaster

If we answer that we can't have fun.

Based on recent VT pubs, we're not even touching 3.1. Football players get special recognition if they hit 3.0. I'm not shitting on our program, it's just the reality. I know we have really smart guys, and we also have guys that are getting a great education with great tutoring that might struggle sometimes.

Not over a 3.0, because they don't seem to be listed out individually like the other fall sports.
I remember in some of the all staff meetings when I was there, numbers were brought up and the football team was pretty close to this UT score. Not surprisingly, large teams tend to have lower scores.

I feel like 2.89 isn't too far off most team's GPA, but I'm also not sure if a 2.89 is something you want to be bragging about when no other schools are putting their team GPAs out there. They're getting absolutely obliterated in the replies.

Unusual to use GPA. Graduation rates are the trendier statistic. It shows program retention, academic success (graduating), and student-athlete welfare. That is, the student is not hobbled by the athlete.

2.89 isn't a terrible GPA for a large team, but that is the BEST IN THE HISTORY OF TEXAS FOOTBALL?!?!?!

This is where I am with it too, but then I remember noted scholar Vince Young, and I'm sure he was the rule rather than the exception

21st century QBs Undefeated vs UVA:
MV7, MV5, LT3, Grant Wells, Braxton Burmeister, Ryan Willis, Josh Jackson, Jerod Evans, Michael Brewer, Tyrod Taylor, Sean Glennon, and Grant Noel. That's right, UVA. You couldn't beat Grant Noel.

Remember...it's not just anOSU thing.

I came to Virginia Tech to play school.

Did you go pro in school? Cause there are better colleges in VA if you want a pro school job.

After weighing the options, talking with my family and friends, I decided to play it safe and not go pro in school. I'd like to thank the big man upstairs for giving me the opportunity to play school in college. #1000%Committed

Hey man, I don't judge....
