This thread is a little late. Baylor-Oklahoma, Oregon-Stanford, is Thursday the new Saturday? (Not according to Jim Weaver.)

First? And I just realized that I don't get FS1 and now am just watching the ESPN pregame...
No.
You didn't miss much. Fox is a disaster at broadcasting college.
Baylor won, BTW
I may be the only "football blogger" in the country tonight watching hockey. LET'S GO RANGERS.
And that's more of an affront than abstaining from cheese.
"Is this Russia?" - Ty Webb
Capitals baby. For the record, I'm not actually trying to make you an enemy, but #teamcake and #Caps all the way
Safety. Wow. After a good stop they do a slow developing pass route.
Say what you will about the Big12 (or 10? whatever. That conference around Texas that added Morgantown for some diversity), but the perception this season reminds me of past ACC seasons. There seems to be a lot of parody within the conference, and not one national juggernaut. This game has been enjoyable so far.
I agree, it does look more like Acc seasons of the past but the Acc is the Acc of the past with a better FSU and has wins over down SEC programs.
*parity
Unless you meant "parody," then ok.
Baylor doesn't look that good on offense right now.
Big stage, at night, figured a slow start was a possibility. Oklahoma's got some players on defense and they've gotten after the QB. All these flags (and unfortunately injuries) have really killed the flow of the game.
Pulling for Stanford tonight. I'd like to see FSU in the NC game.
I'm pulling for Oregon and LSU. I want an FSU-Oregon MNC. That could be a really good game. Both have great offense and good defenses. Alabama... I'm not really convinced about their reported "dominance" on both sides of the ball.
That'd be a good scenario as well and a great game. Mariota and Winston in the same game? Heck yes. I'll definitely be pulling for LSU to win too. Regardless, I just want to see FSU representing an ACC team in the big game.
Hey, Baylor has a C. Fuller on D.
No wonder the defense is dominating.
Well this game went from close to a snoozer real fast. At least the skins are on.
look at that power run Stanford has, why can't we do that
We can't put 9 good linemen on the field let alone 6.
Stanford has to much muscle for the ducks tonight.
No way. Oregon wins this game.
Wow, Oregon, wow
If only Pep Hamilton didn't go to the NFL....
Stanford is manhandling Oregon right now.
I will admit I got suckered by an article I read saying that of the three games this year that had been billed "the biggest of this stadium" the home team got smacked. Baylor is proving their offense and defense are legit. And if Stanford keeps Stanfording all over Oregon, looks like I'll start out O'fer in the pick em.
Just got back from my son's first Freshman game. He is in 8th grade, but got called up to play for the Freshman team this week-started at outside LB and had 10 tackles, 1 forced fumble, and an almost interception.
(I know, not really on-topic, but I'm stoked.)
Sounds like a future Hokie!
That hard-nosed football Stanford is displaying right now, is exactly what I hope to see VT do in the future
Am I the only one that thinks of the Germans from Hogan's Heroes yelling at Colonel Hogan every time they mention Stanford's QB?

You may be one of just a few here who have any idea what "Hogan's Heroes" was (I remember it well...Friday night must see TV on CBS @ 9:00)
Oregon just can't take a brutally physical team
Stanford really is their kryptonite
Oregon is soft they always expect to be up by 21 by 6 minutes gone in the 1st, when they get hit in the mouth by a physical team early they always fold.
Oregon is just like Clemson. Fast as hell, but soft.
I don't know that I would classify them as soft, I just think that the system they run vs. the system that Stanford runs do not match up very well.
Anyone watching the Skins' game? I feel like Leslie Frazier is pulling a Mike London with Time Outs here...
They were trying to gift them overtime and the skins still blow it. Guess that's just giving back the win from week that shouldn't have been.
Stanford punched Oregon right in the throat.....Again. And again. And again. And again.
I think you meant "gut" :p
Is that the ref that overturned Danny Coale's touchdown? He looks familiar like I should hate him.
We never saw the ref that overturned the Danny Coale catch....it was a replay official.
The Seminoles are real happy tonight.
so much for a shutout
Wow, Oregon recovers onside
I was about ready to leave and go to American Family Fitness... thats gonna have to wait now.
random post here because i dont want to stay on 666 turkey legs.
I got you covered!
Thanks bro
Welcome to the game Oregon. Score is gonna end up closer than it should be, but I think Stanford hangs on.
STUFFED!
DAMN! that was nice
Stanford beat Oregon.
"Super Mario Duck Hunt" Classic. Well FSU is happier, but I doubt OSU is, because Baylor may have something to say about them being next in line.
42.5min Time of Possession for Stanford. Yeah, we need to be able to run the ball again reliably.
Well I'm off to the gym yall have a good night.
i was watching the game but also clicking cookies. It is taking over my life
Stanford straight punched Oregon in the mouth over and over. I love watching their offense and Gaffney is awesome. On the by and by, Hogan is from McLean, VA. I went to bed when Oregon scored their first TD, figuring that Stanford wasn't going to let up four scores before time ran out, and I didn't want to be going to bed all hyper because of a comeback. Baylor smacked OK around.
But the Redskins lost. 2/3 games last night went for the team I was rooting for.
For those that didn't watch the game last night, this is what happened to Oregon
Thanks for the lols. Turkey leg!
That is just too good.
polls should be interesting this week. Does a 1 loss Stanford team at #5 (whos beaten Oregon and UCLA) jump an undefeated Ohio State team at #4 (whos really beaten nobody)?
my vote is yes
less certain, does an undefeated baylor team at #6 also jump #4 Ohio State?
based on body of work I'd also say yes, but realistically I see this one as much less likely to happen
assuming bama, fsu, and ohio state win
#1 BAMA
#2 FSU
#3 Stanford
#4 Baylor
#5 Ohio State
I think the rankings are garbage. I think they should look at who you lost to throughout the whole season. Its a little crazy to think Stanford lost to Utah and beat a good Oregon team that really hasn't played anyone so far should be 3. I'm just glad this is the last year of the BCS.
I say yes that Ohio State is jumped by both teams, but Baylor at 3, Stanford at 4. Baylor gets the nod because they are undefeated and just whooped top 10 Oklahoma.
What if, in Leality Alabama gets skipped and it goes 2 vs 3 for the NC. That would be AWESOME!!!!!!! I think its time to say the SEC isn't the strongest conference anymore. They have talent and yes BAMA helps but come on Ole Miss Vandy Tennessee, Florida, they are all overrated.
Tennessee isn't even ranked and they are overrated.
I call that a...
I foresee a long and glorious career for this joke.
It always delivers.
Yes. Yes. Yes.
The comment had more to do with the SEC as a whole, I was just naming teams in the SEC to remind people of all the mediocre/awful teams in the SEC. a lot of them are 1-4 or 0-4. 7-14 are above .500 LOL
