He still hasn't put a timetable on his commitment, but according to the video will take official visits to all 4 of his finalists. This one is going to go down to the end.
Derrick Nnadi has narrowed down his choices, but he hasn't made any official visits. Sure, he's been to Virginia Tech this fall for a game. He's camped at a number of schools and made unofficial visits in the off-season. Now it's crunch time.
"In any order there's Virginia Tech, Florida State, Ohio State, and Penn State," said Nnadi. He also stated that he's open to visiting any other school if they make a late push for him.

I had heard he was going to schedule an official in December. Hopefully we get the last visit.
I frankly don't see how anyone wouldn't want to play for Bud Foster.
Some people are afraid of excellence.
Well he specifically mentioned watching teams prepare for a national championship. Put yourself in his shoes, if playing for a MNC is a priority, FSU and tOSU are knocking on the door while Tech is driving through the neighborhood. Bud Foster is the best DC in the business, but there are other factors at play.
If he goes to FSU he will be surrounded by this

If he goes to Penn State he will be surrounded by this.. well you get it
Comes to VT surrounded by this
I wouldn't say that a VT recruit will be "surrounded" by girls in the David Wilson jersey. I'd say they are there, but not like at schools like Miami or FSU (or any SEC schools). The higher the grades, the uglier the girls: see: Duke v. Miami.
That girl from FSU might not spell, but I bet she has other skills
I think you mean Eddie Royal.
Actually I'm incorrect, I was a D-Hall jersey
ah...that makes more sense.
Well hey, they sure make em alright in Blacksburg. I'm definitely not complaining.
Urban pulls D line recruits like crazy. So tOSU being in his top 4 doesn't surprise me.
We tend to forget at times, say when we poke fun at UVA recruits for choosing to go somewhere that doesn't win.
Unfortunately, top end recruits that do care about winning do not associate VT with that as much as we would like to believe.
Top end D recruits that want to play on Sunday do look at VT.
Only if they're a DB...
They look but they don't necessarily enroll - unless they play DB, as said above. We have had one non-DB drafted since 2008 (Jason Worilds), and though he has played decently he hasn't exactly taken the NFL by storm.
Come May 2014, James Gayle will beg to differ.
And Hopkins. He's 1/2 Man, 1/2 Bear and 1/2 Pig. It's science.
I agree, James Gayle, JR Collins and Derrick Hopkins. I would be surpriced if at least two out of three of these guys don't end up somewhere. If Gayle is not on the line, he could be a stand up OLB in the League easy.
I remember hearing someone on ESPNU speaking very highly of Gayle and saying he would be a great fit for a 3-4 team as an OLB in the NFL. I hope all of these Hokies have a great draft and even better NFL careers.
As mentioned, the draft success of VT defensive players that arn't in the secondary is poor, to say the least. Some of that has to do with Foster's system actually.
There are currently NO Hokies playing a D Line position in the NFL.
Is Darryl Tapp still in the league?
Playing for the Redskins this year.
Yes. D Tapp is with the Redskins. Worilds isn't on the D-line, but was when he was drafted and he's starting for the Steelers. So there's two former Hokie D-linemen in the NFL right there.
And both of them are listed as linebackers. As I said, there are no Hokies currently in the NFL that play the D Line. Both of the guys you mentioned may put their hands down from time to time, but Worilds plays LB for certain.
I love Tapp, but he is hardly who I would point to if I was trying to impress a recruit with a track record of NFL success.
Tapp's been in the League for 8 years - that beats the average NFL career by about 2 years.
Closer to 5, I think. I've always seen the league average at 3.something
Tapp was drafted in 2006. This is his 8th season.
Think he was saying that Tapp beats the league ave. by closer to 5 years because the stats he's seen say that the ave. is around 3.
My apologies.
Word to the wise: Do not TKP at 5 AM without a fresh cup of coffee
Nnadi and Dadi? please commit lol
