Strange that VT was able to get a commit from a recruit with a UNC offer. Didn't think that was supposed to happen anymore. Must've sneaked that one in while Mack hit the early bird special at the K&W

Big get! In the limited amount of tape I have seen, this kid plays with a great motor and has the size to wreak some havoc. The defense will be playing to a different beat in the next few years with players like him on the line.
More importantly we will rescue him from his HS's awful uniforms.
At this point, are these recruits for next year?
This might be /s but I'll clarify since it seems to be an actual point of confusion recently. The class of 2019 signed in December 2018 (early signing period) and February 2019 (national signing day). That class is completely finished and those recruits will be freshman this coming season (Fall 2019).
The commitments from this weekend are recruits for the class of 2020. They can sign in December 2019 or February 2020. These recruits will be playing their senior seasons of high school football in Fall 2019 and will not be enrolled at Virginia Tech until 2020 (January for early enrollees and summer for normal enrollees).
Occasionally rising juniors will make an early commitment but the timing of these commitments is completely typical for an upcoming recruiting class.
Nobody will admit it, but this will be a light bulb for somebody reading it.
