I am from Giles and grew up never missing a spartan game including Marty in the 1993 state championship team. He was actually one of my youth pastors at vacation bible school we went to in Pearisburg. Dude is truly genuine and what you see in TV is all him. Can't wait to read the book and pretty cool to see a guy from Giles County go as far as he has gone and for such a good guy to get what he worked for....go Hokies! (And Spartans)

I never knew he was from Pearisburg. My father is from there (also Jay Hardwick, who my dad grew up with).
