I once did pretty much did this act thing. I was in a fundraiser fun-run, probably came in 30th (out of 25). Collapsed across the finish line....wrapped myself up in the flag (not the US flag...just whatever was nearby) and took a victory lap. It was a touching moment.

Honestly, last (& the off) season has helped me to lower (damn near remove) any expectations. I believe they're capable of avenging last year's loss to BC. But because of everything, it's a tossup. I still feel apathetic. Maybe I'll pluck up when/if we win. Don't screw up. Make it a great game.
I feel the same way. I'm hanging at the pool as I type this and I'm only mildly concerned about making it back in time for kickoff. I'm not even sure if I have a cool beer ready to drink... plenty of bourbon though to either elevate my excitement or numb the pain.

Ok time to help technology challenged fireman TKP family. Have TIVO which allows me access directly to Hulu app. Was going to start free trial, but I read online ACCN isn't on regular Hulu. How do I make sure I am getting ACCN during free trial?
Hulu live is a separate service but still runs through the regular Hulu app. Sign up for the trial here. This will have ACCN.

If you're doing the free trial you should get it. The cheap (I think $5.99) version doesn't have ACCN.
Fair warning, a lot of smart tvs etc. don't supporr the new version of the Hulu app that it requires for live tv. I have a Vizeo 4k that is only 2-3 years old and it wouldn't support the new Hulu update app so I just bought the newest 4k Roku stick and it works perfectly.
I don't even know how to figure that out. I would hope since the app is native to the TiVo box it would work.
Depends on the age of your TiVo and of it constantly updates itself. Chromecast or something is a good backup just in case.
I am unable to get live TV using the Hulu app on my Tivo box. It only gives me access to the Hulu library. So, I just use my laptop to stream ACCN via Hulu and then push it to my tv with chromecast.
This. Most of those native apps built in to boxes and tvs are really crappy.

I have 3 originals and no issues. Barely touched them since I plugged them in.
So Hulu live sports DOES NOT work with TiVo or. Active Hulu app on Samsung TV. So going to have to stream via HDMI from wife's Apple computer. Jesus I hate this shit. I just want to watch a TV channel and be able to use my six tuners to have six games on at once!

I was going to stream straight from laptop, but realized that in addition to my TV, TIVO Roamio, and Apple TV 3, which only support the Hulu Classic app, I had a fire TV stick that I bought a year ago on Prime Day.
The fire stick runs the Hulu app that supports Hulu Live.
But it does seem harder than it needs to be.
I bought an appletv 4K last night to try out for Vue, instead of the ps4 pro, or my Roku express, and it has by far the best integration of vue over the other two.
Gives me the ability to rewind directly from where I am on any program that is recording, and gives the entire recently watched channels the ability to pick up from whenever you last changed the channel. First time I've felt I'm no longer losing anything from dropping the actual cable box.
Has better picture quality too than anything I've used before. Surprised Sony is giving the appletv better functionality than the ps4.
Transfer portal segment on Game Day was dumb, didn't mention VT, and forced me to explain "F@&k that" to my 6 and 8 year old. Shame on you ESPN, but totally not surprised.

You have terrible friends if they schedule a wedding on opening weekend of college football. Everyone here is thinking it, I'm just saying it. I told my wife when we got married earlier this year that we would not be getting married during the season and that I would stand in 100 degree heat outside if it meant our wedding wouldn't be during the season.

I am so excited to watch this game today. We wanted to visit the in-laws in B'ham for the weekend, so I brought our AppleTV so I could stream the game through YoutubeTV. My in-laws are Bama fans, so they'll be downstairs watching Bama-Duke.
By the way, I'm paying $50 extra for YoutubeTV, on top of our Comcast package, just because of ACCN. Ridiculous!

Whatever direction we go with DC next year, it's time to bring in a new philosophy. Small DLs do not work in today's game. You generate no pass rush and get blown off the ball. Even if it takes a few years to transition, I think it's definitely time to revamp.
I mean we had a pass rush in 2017... it hasn't been that long. Lack of talent is a bigger issue, but I agree we need bigger DE's in general.
I'm team Glenn Schumann and bring in the 3-4. No one can run fosters scheme like him, so it's time to just turn the page.

I feel like I've never heard of half these receivers and they all look huge.
I hate our complete lack of a traditional run game, but Willis is a heck of a QB if he can be consistent. That was an NFL strike over the linebacker to Robinson.

I believe the running game really struggles because of Willis' lack of ability to read the D. That play where Holston got crushed is just one example. If he could get better at that, i think the O really takes off.
As for the D, i think the lack of a pass rush is by design. As some have mentioned, Foster is betting on Brown D'ing himself. Hasn't worked on a couple of occassions, but i think most would have agreed with that strategy pre-game. The offense wasn't doing the D any favors in the first Q with all the 3 and outs.

I don't like to weigh in on things during the game, but I'm afraid Vance Vice isn't as good of a coach as we think he is.
He's been the best recruiter on the staff, but he has not shown the ability to teach run blocking. He had the benefit of the Jerod Evans bulldozer making him look good in year 1, but since then the run game inside the tackles has been among the worst in the country.

It's hard to say that this team will clean up 'giving up 22 yards on an obvious screen pass' situation, or 'leaving guys so wide open that they can stop running and still catch the ball'. Truth is Beamer was this program. Coaching is the difference and that staff was our chance. We aren't a "blueblood", don't recruit like one, and if we do have a coach that can get more out of the players, we get a year or two and he's gone. This is really what we should expect when we don't have a hall of fame coach.

Does anybody actually like Fuente? I understand supporting him as fans of this university and team, but the guy is so cold and robotic with the students and fanbase, and seems to have zero personality. Which is fine in itself, but makes it that much harder to get behind him when things don't go our way.
It doesn't hurt to be personable and might even give you more leeway to turn things around. I can see the fanbase turning on him quickly if we continue down this path the rest of the season.

We are due for 3-9. Teams from the past could bounce back from losses but this off season and this start has pretty much shown those days are over. We can't run the ball. All of the pressure gets put on Willis and he turns the ball over too much to win because every game is a shoot out since the defense couldn't play dead.
Willis didn't fumble because the defense was bad. Neither did HEZZY. We putting the D in bad spots and we KNOW they aren't a classic lunch pail D. The offense has to be better.
I said Willis turns the ball over too much. The defense has looked better this half but they gave up too many big plays on first half. No running game is a bigger problem than anything right now.

Thinking about Fuente. He was dubbed an offense oriented coach. I just have not seen it. He is in his fourth year and the offense has been and remains flat and ineffective. So I wonder. Was he just lucky at Memphis? Or is he just over his head in the ACC?

We'll see if Babcock decides to pull the trigger on the buyout with some of the new ACCN money. This season will be rough for revenue generation and worse for the perception of the program. It could put the program waaaay behind the recruiting eight ball if moves aren't made. It's really too bad for Foster. He deserves a better send-off.
But like I've said before, Babcock seems hesitant to go all in on football and may be expecting its popularity to nosedive in a few years given certain trends. So maybe he does nothing.
