Quick, cue the chipmunk vid turning his head.

DFWTF...DON'T FUCK WITH THE FULLERS

Well this feed is going to escalate quickly....

WOW.
Not much else to say, really. I keep editing snide comments about having to tailgate breakfast but not lunch, again.

This is going to be great for the ACC.

ALL 2014 games -home and away- will be NIGHT games!! ~8)

Thank you, Jim Weaver.

When it comes to Virginia Tech getting into the ACC, the lobbying of Bill Goodwin, John Casteen, Mark Warner and Charles Steger would not have mattered if Jim Weaver didn't run his athletic department with such efficiency and if Frank Beamer had not created one of the top 20 college football programs in the country.

While I understand he may not have the best interpersonal skills, Weaver's done an excellent job for Tech.

I thank him for his service to Tech, and I wish him well in dealing with a terrible disease.

He's a good guy and all and has done a ton for this program, however he needs to go soon. It has become obvious that he isn't capable of doing his job due to his Parkinson's.

Ah, I did not know about that health issue.
I know that just about the only negative I had for the guy was not 50% his fault and it was the kickoff times (though it did not keep me from whining about him on that issues). Did not know about the Parkinson's.

Well, good wishes to him then. I'm glad I held back on the snide kickoff times here.

This is going to be great for the ACC.

Retiring in December.

So something has gone wrong with his health in a hurry.

Safe to say that someone other than Weaver will be picking who will succeed Beamer.

it'll probably be beams himself

Doubt it. Beamer will be special advisor to the AD, not AD.

i think he meant that Beamer will pick his own successor

"We were at the pinnacle, and we did it for years," Foster says. He pauses, nods, takes a deep breath. "And I did it with the best guy in the business."

For as much flack as we've given the guy this season it's really not deserved.

Thank you Jim for making VT a premier destination for student athletes! Football tends to be what everyone is drawn to, but I think it's safe to say that all our sports have benefitted from his tenure. Just look at the recent successes:

The football team is nationally relavant and playing for the ACC year in and year out.
Baseball just hosted it's first ever region
Our Women's Soccer team got a No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament
Our Wrestling program has quietly become a national power
Track and Field have had tons of success
Softball went to the Women's College World Series and beat/no-hit Team USA
And I'm sure I'm forgetting others.

Seriously, thank you Mr. Weaver for your service to Virginia Tech. Without you I may have never become a Hokie in the first place. I am forever in debt to you for that.

Makes things interesting.....

Good Luck to Weaver

Mr. Weaver - Thank you for your service. We appreciate your dedication and wish you the best.

PS. Coach Johnson's job just went from tough to impossible. Had some cover at the top but not anymore.

He's had his ups and downs, much like everything else. No denying much of this past year has been getting things ready for his departure.
