Absolutely - Mega props to Logan and the whole team! This was the offensive game I've been waiting for all year, now lets see them build on it. Most excited for the future I've been in a couple of years.

Bama gashed us on special teams and a pick 6. Against Miami, VT still needed to tighten up on Special Teams, which left some gaps, those two fumble recoveries were after long returns.
BUT, I'm with ya. Give me a shot at FSU with the boys playing this well.

Man, the WR have come a long flipping ways since bama..moorehead has done a great job. We did t throw any deep balls. I love how Miami sits back in that two deep zone most of the game. They have played that lame defense for years.

Very much agree! It's amazing what YAC can do for a team. I really hope they keep it up. Imagine how guys like Stanford and Byrn will be playing next year after this season under their belts and more training during the off season. Very excited.

Yep, but we've got help coming.
I love that the kid is getting to shine.
Our offense looked like something a WR, TE, RB might want to play in last night.

Let's hope he wants to stay a Hokie for five whole years. He might get some advice to go pro in a few years though if he keeps up the recent production he's shown.

I told my buddies earlier in the year that he has the marking of a good WR, he has the size to be great, looks to secure the ball before going upfield, and does a great job of protecting it in traffic when the play is dying down. His conditioning will only improve to add more mass as he gets older. Not going to say he won't leave early, but I'd like to see him get a few more seasons under him to improve as a player (and selfishly) bridge the gap to some new WR's.

How about 1300+ yards of offense over 3 consecutive games? Can we find that anywhere in the history books? If we can get our td's congruent to ydg production consistently, like last night, I absolutely believe we can win every game for the rest of the year - including the orange bowl;).

Could QB1 put those kinds of numbers up the next two games????
I'm headed to stupid Charlottesville. I've been there twice now and both were pretty big score boards.
I want a third. Maryland is like playing WVU lite, so lighting up our second cousins with a snazzy uniform (shove it UnderArmour, even if I love the products and finally #AME) will be wonderful, but I really want to make an example of UVA. They've had this game circled and with good reason.

I think Beamer's on that train too.
Not based on any facts, statements, but I just get the feeling that he circles uva on the schedule: not just b/c it's uva, recruiting, etc, but it seems like there's something a bit personal with London.
And I like it.
I hope that even though it's Loeffler and Co's first go-round, they've been around Blacksburg enough to feel it and want to drop 50+ on uva.
I want any player that opted for uva to walk away playing internal mind games with themselves on how it's still ok to play football at virginia.

My favorite was "The Good, The Bad, The Ugly" shirts/swearshirts, with UVA and WVU on them. If VT had a spine they would bring them back, and they would sell like crazy.

Thoroughbreds aren't about hatred for UVA or pressuring people to do one thing or another. They're about aspirations for Virginians.
When VT gets the 4 and 5 star Virginia offensive talent, because they have an attractive offense to play in... we'll have won the battle. At that point we'll get the 5 star defensive talent as well.
Friends not letting friends do this or that just exacerbates the situation.
300 yard passing, 100+ rushing games is a big step. WRs as well as RBs can get attracted to that.
Really hope we don't go back to the run only / first philosophy. Everybody can stop a run first offense not run by Oregon, Alabama, and maybe BC (I kid). Part of what Bud taught us over the years. We need balance in the approach, a customized approach to opponent that plays on our strengths their weaknesses. A "don't turn the ball over" offense, doesn't cut it. Might as well cede the 7v7 talent because they want to play in a dynamic fun offense and have a shot at winning it all.
Don't want to get my hopes up, but I'd really like to see a healthy VT play FSU in the ACC Championship game. If we could put up 30 points and make it a competitive game, I think it would say alot about our offensive future and potential title aspirations. I think we've got the serious coaches and we've got a program that can ascend further this time. We are thin unfortunately, so its hard to see how the next few games play out.... think we could really make a statement if the chips fall our way.
If you don't have title aspirations... getting hopes up for 5 stars is a fool's game... we'll whiff on far far far more than we'll pickup.
JMHO

I love a team that can pass the ball or run the ball equally well. You shut down one, you've got the other. No defense I know of is equipped to handle both 100% of the time.

Big time, LT has starting NFL talent. I believe that they will take the young WR's into account LT played with for two of his three years and the new offensive coordinator. Heck, they may even take the poor offensive system, play calling, and coaches.

Props to the whole team, but especially Logan.

Yeah. This was for him and every doubter.
Big ups to QB1
Major props to the receiving corps. Stanford with the TD, Willie Byrn being the Paper Boy for LT3, heck even Knowles made some nice plays...
Imagine what we could've done against Bama if they played the way they played tonight.
He earned the paper MAN title last night.

I'm wondering if we're talking about Stanford and Byrn in a few years like we do Boykin and Coale right now.
Unfortunately we only get Byrn one more year. He is a RS Junior.
we'll talk about Stanford.
Yep, but we've got help coming.
I love that the kid is getting to shine.

Unfortunately Byrn will be a senior next year.
But Stanford only being a r-Fr makes me so very very happy

We had scored 40 points against a D1 opponent once in the LT3 era. Thanks Miami, you're number 2.

I think he wants to spank them to send one last lesson to the kids about to commit.
Friends don't let 5 star friends commit to UVA.
We need to merchandise and copyright that last sentence.
It would make a pretty sweet T-Shirt I think.
Why stop at Ts? We need to make this a part of our whole recruiting add campaign...stat.
Bill boards, hats, change the school motto (JK, Ut Prosim is pretty damn great).
Hire a celebrity from a 90s NBC sitcom and make a "The More You Know PSA commercial?
I suggest John Lithgow
As a little kid I had a "Friends don't let Friends go to UVA" shirt that they used to sell in the bookstore. I bought it in 1999. Wish I still had it.
I remember that shirt. PFES was filled with it. I can't believe I forgot that one.
My favorite was "The Good, The Bad, The Ugly" shirts/swearshirts, with UVA and WVU on them. If VT had a spine they would bring them back, and they would sell like crazy.
According to my son, his econ teacher (at Charlottesville H.S.) wore this shirt a couple of weeks ago.
Small moments like this give me hope for our education system.
