Syracuse is down 14 trying to punch one in worth less than 3 minutes left. Raise your hand if you called Syracuse crashing so hard this year? Put your damned hand down, liar.

My hand is raised, and anyone who followed the advanced analytics last year probably has their hand raised too. They were a 30-40ish ranked team last season by SP+, FEI, FPI, etc. and they had been slowly losing their receiving talent for the last several years and finally lost Dungey their playmaker. The defense has always been, small, thin, and bad against the run. They were a paper tiger last year with a weak schedule. Not enough talent or depth to sustain even with a great coach like Babers.
Same. I can't for the life of me understand the Tommy DeVito hype coming into this season.
Lane Kiffin retweeted this less than three hours before kickoff with Marshall tonight:
Marshall won.
I'm sorry but what does this have to do with Marshall?
Kiffin about to coach against Marshall and he's retweeting shade at Tennessee instead of focusing on his own team. Then loses to Marshall. Poor optics.
"Poor optics" is the Joey Freshwater credo
Well yeah. I was just answering the question.
Kiffin worrying about his former employer in the form of a tweet when he should be focusing on his opponent that he is coaching against in a couple hours, then losing to said opponent.
Not great optics as the coach of another team about to play a game, but I appreciate Kiffin participating in the elite level of pettiness that exists in college football.
can someone GIFitize the fan reactions of the Syracuse - Pitt game @ ~3:35:00 and 3:35:15 YouTube TV broadcast time pls. (1:50 on the game clock in the 4th).
I tried for ya, can't find a feed of the full game that includes what you're looking for.
I guess I have to try it myself...
Is this how to internet?
That is, in fact, how you internet
Ugly game, commentators were honest which made the game bearable. Sort of. Pitt happens.
Ohio State is just ridiculous this year.
Looking forward to seeing them against Wisky to learn more about both teams. Likely to meet twice unless Penn State/Mich can shake things up in the East.
I feel like Wisconsin is very similar to us in our heyday in that they don't have superior recruiting but have a system that works for them and can beat lesser and even opponents. When they play against the teams with superior athletes, though, those deficiencies are exposed. That's why we were a top five team at one point every year from 1999-2003, and then every other year beginning in 2005 till 2011 but have one win against a top 5 team in that span to show for it.
I agree, and that's why I'm looking at that game to show me more about both teams. If this Ohio State is a legit title contender I expect them to handle business. If this Wisconsin team will be the one that gets over the hump, they will have to find a way to beat them. If not, they are sadly (for them) another in a long line of similar 1-2 loss Wisky teams.
I have a ton of respect for Wisky and how their culture and program ethos is so prevalent and consistent. However, your explanation is the same reason I didn't think they were a playoff team in 2017. They went on to beat an overrated and offensively challenged Miami team by 10, and I felt pretty vindicated in my stance that they would have flamed out of the playoff unceremoniously. Some people saw a smaller team deserving a shot, I saw potentially the third year in a row a B1G team gets shut out in their playoff game.
Tough loss for Wisconsin yesterday. I suppose they were looking ahead to Ohio State. Still very reminiscent of us back in our heyday, losing to horribly inferior opponents every so often.
Yes...the badgers were looking ahead...but I can't wait until Saturday....lll take 14.5 points with the badgers any day, and I'm watching this game at an OSU bar. On Wisconsin.
OSU has been murdering everyone this season. So has Wisconsin, though, aside from yesterday's slip up. It should be a great game.
Can USCe beat two top 10 teams back to back.
Feaster got pulled for dropping the pitch and Denson gets the walk in TD.
They are a totally different team with Hilinski at QB. Bentley was awful against UNC. Still don't know how good they actually are but he gives them a chance and a spark they haven't had in recent years.
Florida looks go have that big game hangover at the moment. We unfortunately know all too well about that phenomenon.
That Florida's QB's name is Trask and that he bears a passing resemblance to this guy isn't being talked about enough amongst fans of mid-00s Star Wars RPGs who also happen to be football fans.
Trevor Lawrence picked off in the end zone! I love it.
And another one! Go Cards!!!
He leads the ACC in INT's.
If you're having trouble sleeping, watch an Iowa game...don't think they've scored a TD for well over two games
Looks like Arkansas tried the fake punt that Fuente ran against them, however theirs got picked off.
That was against Clemson
Anybody else just see the Oklahoma Schooner flip? That looked baaaad
RIP, Sooner Schooner
That is awesome. Wrong weight distribution and angle of attack'. If only the ramblin' wreck would do the same
That clip is going to be used by Texas and Okie St. fans for generations to come.
Kind of like the Cav Man falling off the horse
And the FSU horse bucking Chief Osceola...this whole horse mascot thing isn't working out that well
As long as ours doesn't have a treadmill mishap... *knocking on wood*
Or the equipment truck stuck
Twice...
BC is currently murdering NC State on the ground. 358 rushing yards through 3 quarters and just went up by 28. David Bailey and A.J. Dillon BOTH have 165+ rushing yards and two TDs.
The funny part being that Kansas did that to BC...
How fucking bad is the coastal this year? Lmfao
Bruh it's not just the Coastal. You take Clemson out of the Atlantic and it's the same story.
Really bad...my dream is 7 4-4 teams in the coastal....could still happen and it's mid October
For anyone concerned about NCST-BC running over, worry not.
Illinois just beat Wisconsin
As 30.5 point underdogs
Does this get us of the hook for ODU in the national consciousness?
Miami fails to convert two short field goals in their last two drives to stumble into overtime against GT.
All aboard the roflcopter
Wow. Miami is gonna give GT their only (I hope) conference win.
LMAO Georgia Tech wins at Miami!
Da u bak?
We completed the ACC Coastal circle of suck. I think the Atlantic can get there too if Wake somehow upsets Clemson but I wouldn't bank on it.
Also need Syracuse to win a division game.
So happy Wisconsin lost. I hate Wisconsin.
Erm...why? I know a handful of Wisconsin grads and they are super nice...other than dodging VT multiple times, wisky is my second favorite team to root for...they are very similar to us, save the fried cheese curds (which I wish we had)
I have exactly the opposite experience. I know few Wisconsin grads. Those that I knew before they went to Wisconsin and saw again after they went to Wisconsin turned into the most entitled assholes I wish I never knew.
Jump around sucks.
Quit dodging the matchup.
Yo wtf. What fuck did I miss today.
I don't know, but if you get the Longhorn network, there might be a fantastic finish going on there.
Edit: Oh shit; you were at OU/UW.
Did you find a replay of our game to watch? Watch that.
Pretty neat to see our game come across the ticker under the "WOW!" category.
Kansas just went up 48-47 on a mad-hatter 2-point conversion with about a minute left.
Hell of a time to find out I don't get the Longhorn network.
Same. CBS sports app; A&M Ole Miss on the TV in the background.
Nobody gets LHN, it's not just you.
Dicker made a chip shot. Texas wins 50-48. Damn
WHAT OTHER GAMES?!
FSU with the most #goacc final possession in the rain. Back to back fumble/sacks
Lmao Blackman had close to 10 seconds and didn't even stand up, sat down and gave up on the game. Gotta love it, I hope FSU is never good again
Tennessee just gave up a 100 yard scoop and score in about the funniest way possible.
Pruitt was so furious lol
Trying to relive the "Dobbs fumble vs App State magic" only to realize you can't fumble your way to victory against Alabama.
Pretty bummed about Tua getting hurt. In general I really hate for any player to get hurt, and top players getting hurt puts a real damper on the big picture season of college football. I also just really enjoy watching him play. Hopefully it's not a serious injury.
New one on me- BYU got a touchback (on the 25 yard line). On their 3rd down try, they reached the 34.5 yard line. Ball was placed right and everything.
For some reason, the chains came out to measure where the 35 yard line was, and they determined (by holding the halfway point of the chain at the 30?!) that the 35 yard line was actually at the 34.5.
First down!
Boise challenged. Replay crew agreed that the refs were full of shit and very, very dumb. 4th down confirmed.
How does that even happen?
Just checked the box score for UVA's big 34 point win. Perkins went 13-26 for 141 and a pick. UVA barely had 300 yards of offense.
Still not scared.
5 turnovers will get after ya.
we've seen both sides of that coin!
There was not enough hurricane hate in this thread. They suck and should all become wrestlers so we can kick their asses in that sport too!
