Why isn't Jack Tyler spying the Quarterback at this point? He has more than twice as many running yards as he does passing yards. Force him to stay in the pocket and throw picks.
The offense needs to go back to the 5 to 7 yard immediate passing routes so Thomas doesn't have time to think about it and run around like a chicken with his head cut off.

Agreed. I don't understand the RB rotation at all. JC is a jet sweep RB and that's about it. He can't get push running north-south, and therefore should never be in on 3rd and short.

I think Shane Beamer is just overconfident with JC's abilities. He needs to let Trey Edmunds be an every down back to get some momentum. I think you can partially blame (Shane's) personnel decisions for our lack of a running game.

Our defense gave up 20 points; no arguing that. They can't be expected to hold every team to 10 points. Regardless of the D's decent performance today, the offense was rough (bad OL blocking and questionable play calling). I don't disagree with you that the defense wasn't at their best, but they still played good enough for us to win.

It is bad. I agree. I'm just having a hard time figuring out which element of the game failed the worst. The D gave up 315 total yards - not bad, but above our average. They also forced 2 turnovers, which the O did nothing with. Unfortunately, the TD on the fumble recovery was "confirmed" on video review. The D did get gashed for several big plays, both on the ground and through the air, but we saw that was a weak link last week when Miami score 2 TDs of 80+ yards.
Special teams broke down and gave up yet another kick return. Inexcusable in Beamer's system.
Offense did absolutely jack squat when it needed to the most. Play-calling and O-line play where continually frustrating and I think I was the most agitated when we had the ball.

Brown deserves major props. OL and play calling were shit. But these were back-ups playing one of the nation's best D. They shouldn't have scored, let alone beat us.
There is a lot of blame to go around but I just can't get past that. So many injuries for Maryland on offense and they still beat our Defense.

Logan played a good game. This game showed the weakness that has been with the team all year: offensive line.
The defense got burned by some runs by CJ Brown in the first half. But those were all broken plays. That was shut down in the second half. In my view, the offensive line lost this game.

Offensive line played one of the worst games I've ever seen. Even on completed throws, Logan hardly had any time. Pressure was up the MIDDLE the ENTIRE game (looking at you, WANG). French is going to tear him apart in the film review. There were MULTIPLE PLAYS were 76 was not blocking ANYONE.

In general though he has been a guy that people unfairly jump on because he's not very tall, etc., etc. His play this year has not been nearly as bad as others on the line. I'd say of the starters he's #2 in terms of effectiveness during the game.
Its also hard to know who was supposed to pick up who. Last play 76 and 79 couldn't figure out who to block so the DT delayed his rush then exploded up the middle. Wang tried to get to him but was too late. 79 was just there holding his jock with nobody to block.
We literally have a system that produced a terrible offense, with players who look like zone blocking is a brand new concept. This is on Frank and friends. The new AD needs to turn up the heat on Frank. I like the new coaches but they have to be pushed to develop a real offense, not the offense that Frank wants.

Agreed. I don't understand the RB rotation at all. JC is a jet sweep RB and that's about it. He can't get push running north-south, and therefore should never be in on 3rd and short.
I think if they run counter with JC that it would be effective but yeah, straight ahead isn't going to work.
I think Shane Beamer is just overconfident with JC's abilities. He needs to let Trey Edmunds be an every down back to get some momentum. I think you can partially blame (Shane's) personnel decisions for our lack of a running game.

Our defense gave up 20 points; no arguing that. They can't be expected to hold every team to 10 points. Regardless of the D's decent performance today, the offense was rough (bad OL blocking and questionable play calling). I don't disagree with you that the defense wasn't at their best, but they still played good enough for us to win.
Well, give us the obvious fumble returned for a touchdown, and learn how to cover a kick on special teams and we win by 14...
It is bad. I agree. I'm just having a hard time figuring out which element of the game failed the worst. The D gave up 315 total yards - not bad, but above our average. They also forced 2 turnovers, which the O did nothing with. Unfortunately, the TD on the fumble recovery was "confirmed" on video review. The D did get gashed for several big plays, both on the ground and through the air, but we saw that was a weak link last week when Miami score 2 TDs of 80+ yards.
Special teams broke down and gave up yet another kick return. Inexcusable in Beamer's system.
Offense did absolutely jack squat when it needed to the most. Play-calling and O-line play where continually frustrating and I think I was the most agitated when we had the ball.

Logan played a good game. This game showed the weakness that has been with the team all year: offensive line.
The defense got burned by some runs by CJ Brown in the first half. But those were all broken plays. That was shut down in the second half. In my view, the offensive line lost this game.

We gave up way too many sacks, and let CJ Brown get away with way too many big runs.

Offensive line played one of the worst games I've ever seen. Even on completed throws, Logan hardly had any time. Pressure was up the MIDDLE the ENTIRE game (looking at you, WANG). French is going to tear him apart in the film review. There were MULTIPLE PLAYS were 76 was not blocking ANYONE.
Wang looked to have a bad game today, I'll agree.
In general though he has been a guy that people unfairly jump on because he's not very tall, etc., etc. His play this year has not been nearly as bad as others on the line. I'd say of the starters he's #2 in terms of effectiveness during the game.
Its also hard to know who was supposed to pick up who. Last play 76 and 79 couldn't figure out who to block so the DT delayed his rush then exploded up the middle. Wang tried to get to him but was too late. 79 was just there holding his jock with nobody to block.
We literally have a system that produced a terrible offense, with players who look like zone blocking is a brand new concept. This is on Frank and friends. The new AD needs to turn up the heat on Frank. I like the new coaches but they have to be pushed to develop a real offense, not the offense that Frank wants.

Frank isn't the one coaching those players, and Coach Grimes (who is) is trying to teach them a whole new system. If you want to fire all the coaches after every loss, maybe you need to step back and calm down a bit.
