OT: Gamer's Lounge (Holiday Season Edition)

What are you guys currently playing or most looking forward to?

Notable Games. *I'm just kinda generalizing, if I miss something just bring it up down below*

Coming Soon:
Doom Eternal, 22 Nov
Pokemon Sword & Shield, 15 Nov
Shenmue 3, 19 Nov

Recently Released:

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare
Death Stranding
Luigi's Mansion 3
Outer Worlds

Updates & DLC

Anthem - IceTide. Holiday update, PTS is active for this one this weekend. Looks like they're implementing challenges and timed events for Strongholds. Also.. javelin racing! And the entire world is covered in ice and snow. Pretty dope.

I'm sure Destiny has something lined up as well.

I know the list is kinda parse at the moment, just bring up anything missed down below โฌ‡๏ธโฌ‡๏ธ

Next Gen

Still not much out there about the coming new generation of consoles, I suspect that kinda stuff will start ramping up in February or so (concerning concrete specs, pricing, release date, yada yada)

I have read that the consoles will be competitively priced, and Sony is aiming to release two versions at launch. A cheaper model and a pro model.

Sales
I mean, shit, we're all trying to save a dollar...so let this be the place where you post details if you come across any can't-miss holiday sales (games, bundles, whatever)

So what's up?? Lets discuss!

Edit: sorry if the formatting is weird, I do all this from my phone. Lol

I've been playing the hell out of The Outer Worlds.

As someone that loves Fallout 1&2, this game to me feels like what a modern Fallout should be.

Graphics are nothing special, but the actual role playing is top notch. Some of the best companions in any game out there right now, and I've done entire sections without having to resort to gunplay, where FO felt like it just became "shoot everything". No spoilers, but there was a major story decision to make early on in the game, and I had my mind made up, and then I asked the first AI companion you get for her opinion, and she actually changed my mind. The writing is very good

I can't wait for it to come to Switch. I loves me and Obsidian RPGs.

"I liked you guys a lot better when everybody told you you were terrible." -Justin Fuente

I just read it's coming to Switch in early 2020

Yup. Seems like 3-6 months is the standard delay for a third party game to be ported to Switch. But it's worth the wait to be able to play it on the go. (For me at least.)

"I liked you guys a lot better when everybody told you you were terrible." -Justin Fuente

Man, I've had an itch lately for a good RPG. I definitely wanna check this one out.

It's one of the better pure RPGs I've played in a good bit.

I can't imagine the decision trees Obsidian put into the game, but so far I feel like you could really play a character in a million different ways and be able to get through the game. For example, the very first character you meet is somewhat of the main quest giver of the game, and you can literally turn him in to the next NPC you meet and get him thrown in jail and outing the way for about half the game.

I just finished this game and loved it. It felt like Fallout meets Firefly

Such a good game. It flows very naturally, which is something that I thought was missing from the last FO game I played. It's also not as complicated, focusing on building relationships and dialogue rather than base building and the like.

I actually screwed up the first area I visited and ended up having to massacre the town. Apparently I missed my chance for a companion but it doesn't feel like I'm missing anything. That's the sign of a good game

King Alum of the House Hokie, the First of His Name, Khal of the Turkey Legs, The rightful Heir to the Big Board, the Unbanned, Breaker of Trolls and Father of Gritty

You arn't missing anything gameplay wise, but I will say you are missing one of the most interesting NPC companions I've ever seen in most any game.

The bright side, something to look forward to on your next playthrough

Games I want to play in the next few months. I will probably have to wait until Christmas to do much gaming. I am off from Dec 21 to Jan 6 so I expect I can get some stuff knocked out then.

Already out:
The Outer Worlds
Death Stranding

To be released:
FFVII Remake
Cyberpunk 2077

I just want to know what the flying fuck Death Stranding even is.

"I liked you guys a lot better when everybody told you you were terrible." -Justin Fuente

Read the Wikipedia entry, it doesn't even make sense when you do that

Uber Eats simulator.

I gotta say, with everything I've seen about this game... My curiosity meter didn't even flinch.

I have this funny feeling everyone is taking all their insane blue-balled expectations from Silent Hills and heaping them on Death Stranding just because it's Kojima. There is potential for No Man's Sky level disappointment here.

"I liked you guys a lot better when everybody told you you were terrible." -Justin Fuente

That's exactly what it is. The hype from SH never died down.

Wwe 2k20 is a broken mess๐Ÿ˜‚

I've got this feeling
The tide is turning now baby
Funny feeling everything's gonna be alright now

I remember when wrestling video games were the best thing on N64. I missed significant class time because of WrestleMania 2000. It's a shame what 2K Sports has done to what should be a fun gaming experience even for people who don't give a shit about wrestling.

"I liked you guys a lot better when everybody told you you were terrible." -Justin Fuente

I've actually got back into playing Anthem again. The patches and updates have made it worth it again, in my opinion.

There's still shit to fix, but they've definitely made some strides.

You can kinda set waypoints, you can MASS SALVAGE FINALLY, you can fast travel in freeplay.

Right now is the season of skulls event, so everything is all decked out for the Halloween season. We've got new freeplay events, weapons, gears, and components.
I've been having a blast.

Oh, and they increased the Lego drop rate considerably. To add to that, if you run the cataclysm event, you can earn crystals for a guaranteed Lego via the seasonal store.

I maxed out my Ranger, but now I'm looking to better my build with better inscriptions. (Right now I focus on building my ult quickly, and dealing out a fuck ton of damage via that, and combos)

I know people feel how they feel about Anthem, but I think it's worth giving a second chance.

I put it down about 2 weeks in. I will have to reinstall and give it another try!

What platform are you?

I have Anthem on PS4

It's a really fun game where you are a pirate crew. Graphics will turn some off, but you hunt treasure, fight cursed crews of the undead, sail your ship managing sails, anchor, and helm, or be a pirate and fight other ships on the high seas with cannons, guns, and cutlasses to steal their booty. Highly, highly recommend finding friends to play with. Tons of stuff have been added since I played at launch like megalodons, fishing, the kraken, additional factions and reputation grinds.

It's also a little cartoony so tons of funny stuff happens.

I like the challenges aspect of fortnite, the fact it's free and it feels like I can play one game and walk away easier than say modern warfare.

Modern Warfare is am absolute beast of a game. Definitely kinks top work out as fast as weapon power and maps but it's sp nice to have a "realistic" modern warfare. If we get a new ncaa it will be a very nostalgic year or two.

Also campaign is fucking phenomenal.

Update multiplayer is starting to piss me off a bit. I don't think COD is the type of game that should have SBMM. They can't seem to figure out how to put shotguns in this game and make them at all fair after 3 updates. I think the 2nd update was just released about footsteps now instead of a brachiosaurus I sound like an elephant. There are 2 or 3 maps that are absolutely unplayable on certain game mods (there are only 7 maps total)

I'm currently having a ton of fun with Afterparty in the PS4, even if I have ran into a couple bugs. Still slogging through Red Dead 2 when I get the time for it. I really need to finish that game.

I found TKP after two rails from TOTS then walking back to my apartment and re-watching the 2012 Sugar Bowl. I woke up the next day with this username.

Downloaded Afterparty in game pass but haven't played yet.

Glad to hear it's a good time

Doom Eternal got delayed to March(?) of 2020, dammit I wanted to slaughter demons.
Got busy with stuff where I barely got to play Indivisible much and I want to.

Currently working through my second play through of Witcher 3 and man I'm loving it even more the second time through the DLC really adds a new layer that's so much fun. Waiting on the holidays to get Borderlands 3 and playing some battlefield in between

I'm really looking forward to Jedi: Fallen Order. It may be EA, but Respawn (Titanfall 1 & 2 and Apex Legends) made the game. Love Respawn

Man oh man. I recently saw Joker and fuuuuuuuck, I need to talk about it.

I just cannot stop thinking about it. The cinematography, the score, the acting... Fuck man. I loved every minute.

I went into Joker thinking it'd be a Below Average to Average type of movie, but I really liked it too. The score was soo good and Joaquin of course was great.

Joaquin was unbelievable. Call it recency bias, but I think he's my favorite on-screen iteration so far.

My nerd side is showing here, but if anyone likes RPGs (specifically JRPGs), Fire Emblem: Three Houses is incredible. I've spent 75+ hours on it over the past 2 months. The story is great, player customization is great, and replayability is incredible.

I picked up my first fire emblem in Awakening, and so far it's great. but I need to get through that before I get another one.

There's always a lighthouse. There's always a man. There's always a city.

yeah 1 playthrough is crazy long in 3 houses (~70 hours) and all I could think about throughout my first playthrough was what I would change in my 2nd round. I would say that playing on Normal was a bit too easy... for kids maybe it's good but I never really felt challenged.

Done one playthrough of FE: Three Houses, think it's the best in the modern series (DS to present). I should do multiple playthrough a but got backlog also with Indivisible and FF XII.
Playing Borderlands 3 and got back to Destiny 2 (PC, my brother finally got it on PC and other friends to play) took up a lot of time too.

Yeah you really have to invest some time into FE to really enjoy it IMO. You can simulate a lot to expedite it, but to me the fun lies in the details.

Have you played the old FEs? I'm talking about the GBA ones. The original and Sacred Stones were absolute gems that I loved. The Game Cube games were alright, but I couldn't get through the DS one. Wondering how 3 Houses stacks up.

Alright I need some Switch recommendations as we get close to Christmas...

So far all I have played is Super Mario Odyssey and Zelda Botw. I love the console so far but it's been so longs since I've had a Nintendo console that I have no idea what games/franchises are any good. Overall I'm very eclectic in the types of games I play (RPG's, 1st Person Shooters, Sports Games, etc) so I'm honestly open to try anything. So let me hear what you've got!

Using /s is for cowards.

Indivisible, FF XII Zodiac Age, FE: Three Houses, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, I think Persona 5 will be on Switch soon (I might be wrong, just can't wait for Persona 5 Royal), and Super Mario Maker.
I think there's some others I'm forgetting, also don't get Bloodstained on the Switch since they did a terrible job porting it from PC/PS4 to Switch.

Highly recommend CupHead.

I second this. I finally beat it last week after playing it in spurts since April. Fantastic game that perfectly scales in difficulty as you get better at it.

"For those who have passed, for those to come, reach for excellence."

Mario+Rabbids: Kingdom Battle is great if you like XCOM type games and is seeing a lot of sales this time of year. Civ 6 is an excellent port if you like that sort of deal (I do but am not in a position to game on PC so this was a godsend for me).

I just started playing Hollow Knight on PC. I'm not that far in, but this thing seems like it's going to be a bit of a bear to get through. There's a lot of lulls in action and it does seem kind of puzzle-y.

I like it and I'm not gonna give it up, but I can see myself not finishing it.

I've played most of the major games on Switch, but the game I've probably played the most is Celeste. It's a 2D momentum-based platformer that shares a similar feel to the old-school Mario games, except it doesn't limit you on extra lives or anything but makes up for it in difficulty. I've played well over a hundred hours and am still not done yet, but most of that has been "bonus" levels and additional challenges.

I never post and probably falling on flat ears but playstation vr with 5 games for 199 is a steal come black friday and although prob not on sale the oculus quest is legit at 399 price point. I have stratched and clawed to have a og vive psvr and the quest so me and my kids can play together. New vr comers i say go quest ...budget ones get psvr. Later all happy gaming

Vr is really cool, but the AAA games that I've played so far have given me really bad motion sickness.

Some are justt prone to it unfortuanatly ala rollercoasters in real life etc . but i d say 85 percent of the population is fine with it now they have came a long way since the begining but once ever so often i d say 1 in 130 games something is a little off but i think its mostly do to poor develope now adays then the hardware or experience its self.

I got you brother. Also, love the setup!

Thanks man! Appreciate it!

Looks good we are coming towards the end of building our new house and I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to setup my game room so its not in the living room all the time. Found a good audio reciever for cheap and a few speakers gotta get a few more and well be set.

Greatest MP shooter of all time. I used to play religiously.

I honestly miss the 32 man pub days of CS 1.5/1.6. I think I played that game about 3x (or more) longer than any other game on my PCs

Outer Worlds is great but if you have XBOX dont pay full price. I was surprised when they put it on gamepass. You can usually get a month of gamepass for under $5.

That's the great thing about Game Pass, they're gonna put new games on there day 1. That's so awesome.

Microsoft has made a habit of putting AAA games from studios they own on the service right off the bat.

Sea of Thieves is another example that comes to mind, along with Outer Worlds and Gears 5

And Halo Reach on PC (but for some reason I get an error when I try to install it)

They run it like $1 a month for 2 months on sales all the time. I got it for 2 months just to confirm the fact that I am not good at nor enjoy getting my ass kicked in Gears 5.

(add if applicable) /s

I finally beat RDR2 last week after buying it on launch day. I played through the first 1/3 of it last year, but I never got hooked on it so I set it aside for a year. I thought the last half of the game was much more interesting (even though I had some complaints too) and I like how it segued into RDR1.

Next up, I plan on getting some Switch titles. Either Luigi's Mansion 3, Pokemon, or Fire Emblem (or all three....). My PS4 is a launch day PS4 and its days may be numbered. The fan is like a jet engine despite being completely free of dust.

That's exactly what my day 1 PS4 started doing.

I traded mine in for a pro but back when RDR2 came out.

I just got my 1st PS4 last Friday (my 1st PlayStation since the PS2 era I have been on Xbox since 2007) I got it for all the exclusives I have missed the past 5 years. Right now I'm playing Blood Borne and just started Death Stranding. Ah its good to be back on team PlayStation lol.

Welcome aboard.

Now get Horizon Zero Dawn, Spider-Man, and God of War. All ps exclusives, all PHENOMENAL games.

I second this selection. Probably in that order, though they are all superior to so many other games.

I will say, though, HZD is generation 1 game for PS4, so while it looks great and plays great, you can notice the difference when you play the other two, which both came much later in the PS4 cycle.

At the risk of overloading your PS4 backlog right away, there should be great deals on these games in the upcoming holiday sales. Horizon with DLC will probably be $10, Spidey with all DLC will be $15, and GOW will be $10 or $15. Absolutely insane value for these three.

And if it's your cup of tea, look into The Witcher 3 with all DLCs. There will probably be a sale on that too.

Also check out The Last of Us remastered and Sekiro

It's Time to go to Work

How could I forget the last of us

It's easy to overlook just because it has been out for so long even though it is one of the most decorated games ever.

It's Time to go to Work

I played Sekiro on Xbox. Phenomenal game but the final boss Issin was so hard that I couldn't finish and gave up.... way to frustrating, at least in the other From Software games Blood Borne and the Souls series you can summon help on the hard bosses.

I've played all of the SoulsBorne games (most with multiple playthroughs) and none of them made me as frustrated as Sekiro. I agree the final boss was a PITA. I ended up watching a YouTube vid for a cheesy strategy that takes forever to complete but is relatively safe. After I beat it, I never thought about playing through it again and I'm selling it on eBay now.

If you complete the dragon mask you can buy power upgrades for 5 points. It's not ideal but you could grind to make it easier. There's definitely a fine balance between difficult and fair.

Bosses health levels stack with each dragon mask upgrade so that essentially does nothing.

Well I don't know about y'all but the new Pokemon Game keeps looking more disappointing. Probably will be the first one i skip.

I'm going to get it for sure. I think people just like complaining about it while the reviews have all been positive.

It's Time to go to Work

Update: I have played 100 hours of Pokemon Sword and it is excellent.

What's the loot box situation?

Having fun with it. Definitely creative with some of the physics puzzles you have to solve.

I really thought this would go on sale on Cyber Monday...guess I will wait for a bit.

Started playing it this week. To me it's very similar to the Tomb Raider games. Some minor critiques with the gameplay but overall i'm having fun playing it.

Currently playing Northgard and I'm surprised to say that I'm enjoying it. Nice RTS from an indie developer.

Any FIFA Ultimate Team players on here?

Not a bad way of doing things plus youll end up with less buggy games when you get to em.

The new updates to Mario Maker 2 look really fun. Especially the Ninja mode.

I've been playing some Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past for the first time in.... I don't even know how long. It is surprising to me how much I remember, especially since I never owned an SNES and only played on a friend's from time to time.

If you're playing on a switch you should check out Blossom Tales and Shalnor Legends. Excellent Zelda clones. Shalnor was on sale for $.99 a few days ago.

Going to pull the trigger on a Valve Index soon so I can play the new Half Life game

I have been playing Dead Cells a lot lately on XBox

Awesome Metroidvania style game, with rogue like elements and some tough boss fights

I'm getting Dead Stranding for Christmas on PS4.

This is going to be great for the ACC.

Awesome game....have enjoyed it. It start a bit slow but it gets pretty involved. The graphics are unreal.

I understand it's really outside the box.
I refuse to read anything that'll even hint at giving me a hint of what's going on.

This is going to be great for the ACC.

Any of ya'll game on the PC? I'm about to click 'Order' on a cart full of components but it's a big leap in price from a Switch or PS4. Main components are a Ryzen 5 3600X and 5700 XT.

My previous desktop builds have been geared towards office work than gaming (ie- cheaper).

I'm gaming on a Ryzen 5 2600 and have no complaints. I also bought it knowing my board would take a more hefty chip in the future if I wanted to upgrade though.

Keep in mind, I have never been a power gamer or anything. I have never really cared if my frame rate stays at a constant XYZ or if my graphics card can double as a heater in the cold winter months. But it plays what I want without slowing down or looking bad. I enjoyed the Outer Worlds on its highest settings just fine. I'll try the new Star Wars once the price drops a bit and I expect that look just fine as well.

EDIT: I do highly recommend that you get a mobo that will take an m.2 SSD. The improvement from SSD -> m.2 was not as big as the improvement from HDD -> SSD but it was still appreciable and it is much easier to make it your primary drive when you do the build rather than after the fact.

Agreed on the m.2, I had no idea it was possible for Windows to load this fast. It takes probably 3-4 times as long for my motherboard to POST as it does for the login screen to show up once Windows starts loading, and I never have to wait for anything to load if it's on the main drive.

So I ended up ordering the components and built the computer over the weekend. I did indeed include an m.2 NVME SSD.

I spent most of Sunday afternoon playing Team SWAT on Halo Reach. What a great rush of nostalgia from my days at college playing Halo all the time.

GRIFBALLLLLLLLLL

I too just built a new PC in the 2 weeks. I didn't go with the m.2 SSD, but it is an option for the future. The most frustrating part of whole build process was waiting for a useable case to show up at my house. Newegg sent one and the bottom was busted in. Then I ordered one on Amazon and when I opened the box, it was a desk chair, NOT a PC case. Amazon finally got it right though, and the case I ended up with actually made the cable management look good, even on the back side of things. Now I just need to find a new game to play. I have a fancy new GPU and the most taxing thing I've played on it so far is Stardew Valley.

I also game on PC.
Went with Ryzen as well and 5700XT.
Fastest GD thing I've ever played on.
Performance compared to current Intel is over the top.

This is going to be great for the ACC.

New CoD has grown on me quite a bit. Just had to give it some time because it is so different than previous games. Anyone else feel the same way?

I'm struggling with it. Either I'm just getting too old or the maps don't lend towards it, or players just don't want to play as a team but I can't get a solid strategy down.

In previous Modern Warfare games our squads would lock down one side of the map and pin the opposing squads/teams down completely. Our best was a 75-5 win game where the entire other team left.

Wet stuff on the red stuff.

I picked it up a few days ago. First COD I have bought since BO2, so it's been awhile. I played a bit of one of the newer ones but they were far too fast paced for me and the futuristic stuff wasnt for me either.

This one feels a lot like the older CODs to me which is great. I love S&D and this version is awesome. Reminds me a bit of the BO1 S&D, though not quite as good as the MW2 S&D.

I had to completely change the way I play for this CoD. On Black Ops 4 I could just run and gun, and not have to worry too much. That is not the case with Modern Warfare... I also hate Euphrates Bridge with a passion. But all in all I would say its growing on me.

Exactly my thoughts. I always have been a run 'n gun guy holding down a certain area. Now you actually have to tactically think where to sit and move to. Learning the maps is KEY in this game for sure.

Yeah, there have been a lot of complaints from the community since release but every patch they make has improved the game quite a bit.

Honestly the game play is much more my style in that its less of a go crazy arcade 3 lane shooter and you can actually take a second and try to out think the other players. I wish they'd stop replacing the non-traditional game modes. Like bring the OG gun fight back, bring gun game back, and keep infected.

God nothing was more fun when I was a kid on lan parties with friends playing grifball and infected on local networks and doing some screen peeking to get your friends when they thought they were safe. Fuck I'm old

I got hunter call of the wild for my birthday and it's probably the best hunting game i ever played

I've got this feeling
The tide is turning now baby
Funny feeling everything's gonna be alright now

With them adding tree stands and small things like new weapons its slowly morphed into an amazing hunting game, one day theyll add turkeys and other birds to the mix.

They added a new map the other that is based in Spain and it has 4 different type of ibex, Mouflons, Red Deer, Roe Deer, wild boars and wolves. Its my favorite map already ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Dang havent played any of that map yet I usually play that game when the craving hits me and I'm too busy to hunt actually. Love the size of the maps it makes you feel small as crap I remember when I first got it and played for housrs on end thinking I could play it all till I realized I had hardly left the beginning area. Love the bird hunting side of it just for something fun to do.

IceTide event started last week in Anthem. It's gorgeous.

Has anyone with Red Dead 2 on PS4 dug into the new content? Asking as an X1 owner.

I have no idea why my username is VT_Warthog.

Arkansas blew a 24-0 lead in the Belk Bowl.

New content? I'm guessing online stuff?

I've been playing a lot of The Outer Worlds lately. Pretty fun and a good time killer as are most of the open world RPG type things.

Looking forward to Totally Accurate Battle Simulator coming to Xbox Game Pass on Friday. I haven't played it, but it looks awesome/hilarious and a few friends really like it on PC.

So. I built a new PC shortly after Thanksgiving and was given a free game code for either the Outer Worlds or Borderlands 3 with my CPU purchase. I went with the Outer Worlds as I've heard good things about it and I have to say, I'm pretty disappointed. The world they've built is gorgeous and I have no complaints about that. The game play itself feels like a mix between Bioshock and Fallout, but I don't find the story to be very compelling. I've put about 8 hours into the game already and it hasn't hooked me yet. So before I give up on it and move on, someone tell me if I've given it a fair shot or does it get better down the line?

I really enjoyed Outer World's, but I love that style of game. I also really enjoyed the Fallout games and it has a very Fallout meets Firefly feel to it.

But it isn't very action-y. If your thing is shooters and combat, it might not be for you.

I never finished RDR2 last year, so I spent a little time over the last week getting back into it.

Well, that is, before my brother in law got me Assassins Creed Rebel Collection (Black Flag and Rogue) for the Switch for my birthday, and have been playing the hell out of Black Flag since. Probably my favorite AC game, and it plays shockingly well on the Switch. Unfortunately, the companion smartphone app no longer works (or at least wasn't updated to the new generation of tech) with this update, which stinks, but at least the Switch itself is portable, so its not too big a deal.

King Alum of the House Hokie, the First of His Name, Khal of the Turkey Legs, The rightful Heir to the Big Board, the Unbanned, Breaker of Trolls and Father of Gritty

Beat Borderlands 3 and man it was a blast on Fl4k but gonna start a second character for my next playthrough, started with Moze but she feels meh in the beginning hoping as I level up the build gets better or I'm gonna drop her for a Zane playthrough.

Got Halo: MCC on PC for xmas, and want people to play with. Anyone here? We'll exchange Steam info.

I basically only play SWAT, so you can add me if you want - 75073084

I downloaded Divinity Original Sin 2 on the current Steam sale, but I think I might get a refund. I thought it was going to be Diablo-style gameplay and the combat so far has not been my cup of tea. Maybe I'll just play Path of Exile.

Anyone else play Divinity Original Sin 2?

I'll put together another thread a couple weeks into February. By then we should know just about everything we wanna know about the next gen PlayStation (granted, just about everything has already leaked)

Hopefully they'll announce some killer games for day 1

Just picked up a few games on Gamestop's last buy 2 get 1 deal on pre-owned titles. Haven't touched anything else since I popped Fire Emblem: 3 Houses in. Maybe my new favorite Switch game?

VT Class of '12 (MSE), MVBone, Go Hokies!

I've been playing Escape From Tarkov for a while now. Can be a ton of fun and extremely frustrating. Recent influx of new players due to an event has hammered their servers though.

Been loving the borderlands three farming mayhem event, dunno if I'll be able to enjoy the game when its over but man is it fun. Fl4k is fun solo but Moze is the tits unlimited ammo will spoil every other shooter I play from here on out.

Throwing out some things I've been doing recently:

Monster Hunter World Iceborne is a ton of fun and makes an already good game last a lot longer. I'm taking a casual approach and playing through at my pace and having a ton of fun.

Temtem is a pokemon clone that is on PC, coming to console, and has updated the formula. I'm really enjoying it. It doesn't feel oppressive like pokemon did where there were always right and wrong, I think it just comes from not being over saturated with it yet, but it feel like playing Pokรฉmon Blue for the first time in 1996. Every new creature is a mystery and potentially exciting.

My biggest recent obsession: Blood Bowl 2 - Turn based strategy game where you are the coach of a fantasy football team (orcs and elves fantasy, not ESPN fantasy). I've found a big league through reddit, but you play weekly matches, your players gain experience and develop and get new skills, and it's wonderful for me and my time. Most of the games in leagues are 'cast' or streamed on twitch so the leagues feel like real sports leagues. Game can be a little hard to learn at first, but there are tons of folks around to help and a rookie league.

I've been thinking I may eventually get back into MH:IB but ill need to hit a lull before I hit it up. Still go Fallen Order and outer worlds once I'm done scratching my Borderlands itch. Also planning on firing up the old 360 to start my old NCAA dynasty team back in to get through the offseason.

I finally finished God of War (except for that gauntlet realm and the poison smoke maze realm) and wanted to start a new game. I was trying to switch out the discs and could not figure out why it would not eject.

I was hitting eject on the Blu-Ray player...

Anyway, next up is The Last of Us.

I'm only 7 years behind...

I hate that world

Can't lie guys. I've been playing a shit ton of Goat Simulator. It's free on PSN and it's nonsensical and fun as shit.
