I know, I know, not supposed to look past the game against Pitt, but saw this post from a UVa fan on The Sabre, who was responding to a thread that began "Admit it, VT is 2nd best team in ACC right now" and had to share:

Have your balls gone inside you? Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl
Harbor? We are talking about the Chokies - they may score but they won't stop Perkins. He owned them last year. They are playing a team that has nothing to play for and they haven't tried to throw it down the field once. That's all you need to do to beat VT - screens and bombs.
I guess history is no longer taught in Charlottesville!

I guess if you're going to rewrite history, starting with Pearl Harbor is as good a place as any. It probably feels like your last win against VT was 78 years ago.
Can't tell if you missed the reference or not...
I did not.
If you ever want to see a uva fan stumble to defend something do this...next time they are talking about how great Thomas Jefferson is just say "didn't jefferson own slaves". **ensue meltdown
No
Sooo.. the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor not the 🇯🇵, gotcha.
How much did that prestigious uva education cost you?
$1.99 at Blockbuster?
Yea, I mean I figured it was satire but nothing surprises me coming from a hoo

Man, I haven't even seen the movie but I know the reference haha. I feel like it's an internet classic!
Yea yea yea, just rub it in why don't ya!
🙂
15 wins in a row is historic, silly wahoo
From the AP story on the GT game on Yahoo today:
That's right! Even the AP recognizes Land Stadium North!
ESPN posted this yesterday. The screenshot was in the FAM thread.
You have to admire their confidence in their team. Even when they have sucked balls, for some reason, UVA fans think they are better and want to talk shit. My good friend who is a UVA fan couldn't have bigger blinders on. He comes across dumb as hell for it, but I like that they are cocky / confident. It makes it all the more fun when they lose to us again.
I think VT goes in there and Bud dials up every all-out, Bear fight, Cover 69 blitz he has ever dreamed of and VT wins by two scores.
I take this to mean after seeing what kind of game Bud's calling, the hoo players just forfeit in the 1st quarter.
I think we take one week at a time, and take care of business.
We still have some football ahead of us, and we need to execute.
I hate Nardouchey too much to spend time hating on UVa this week. Plus, the Hoos make it so easy sometimes
I just feel he is what you would get if you had a fan coach a team. But, instead of yelling at his TV that there is hold or PI on every play, he is on the sidelines yelling about it to the officials.
he is on the
sidelinesmiddle of the field yelling about it to the officials.Edited to be more representative of where Pat believes he's allowed to be.
They're going to beat us someday. But I hope it's not this year. I'm just not ready to have them win in Bud's last season.
Yes, so let's not count any chickens.
This week is the one where we focus on Pitt, and going 1-0.

You gotta give the guy something for an Animal House reference.
It will be nice to see nothing but M/O in the 3rd in Lane North!
Bless their poor delusional hearts... We are in their heads so bad they can't even concentrate on their next game. They need to change their logo to a LOLuva helmet full of Hokies a la the Being John Malkovitch movie poster..
**Guntar. Paging Guntar Please.
UVA essentially has three weeks to prepare for us. Is there any truth to my assumption that they are scheduling Liberty at the end of the season to have more time to prepare for us? It didn't seem to work last year when we went into halftime up 14-0.
I think the schedule placement is more on Liberty's end.
As an independent, they have to fill the entire schedule and not just the first four weeks. Options are limited for opponents at the end of the season as that is the heart of conference play and rivalries for most teams. The ACC is probably a little more flexible to put random OOC games at the end of the season due to Notre Dame pushing games around.
Look at Liberty's November schedule. It's UMass, BYU, bye, UVA, and New Mexico State. Three of those teams are independent, and they play NMState twice this year.
Nope this is mostly on LOLUVA. Bronco has been very public about what he wants the schedule to look like, easy. With non conference games as late in the season as possible.
The funny thing is, Liberty is dangerous enough on offense to actually make that a game. UVA better be careful next weekend.
Sooo.. we all get to root for Liberty vs. UVA?
I know I am, purely on principle.
I think it would be awesome if we got a paver and a baby hammer and broke it after we wax their ass
Why? We have a cup.
Why would we break the cup??
/$
Why do we need to break more than just their hopes and dreams....?
I would double my Hokie Club donation if the staff taped a sign to their one of their water coolers that said "Hoo Tears" and poured it in the cup after we win and drank jovially while on camera.
Confident and cocky Hoo tears taste much sweeter than Beaten and apathetic Hoo tears.
Let's get by Pitt before we worry about crushing their hopes and souls.
Another gem from "le scissors"... I believe they would prefer to beat us without actually playing us...

The sad thing is I have been screaming "just beat tech" for 15 years now. And it will all come down to that game AGAIN!
Yet another... from the hoo OG
